  • I think that's 2 R33WFs and 2 R33s.

  • I miss the Redbirds. I hate the new R142 trains. They make too much noise. I can't stand it. I wish the Redbirds were back in passenger service. I miss them so badly. I feel like I don't want to live in New York City anymore. Everything changed after 9/11.

  • Damn, all they they needed was about 3 more cars, fill in the others with their missing windows and you would have one complete train that's ready to rock and roll again for passenger service...if only that were true....I miss all these 1960's era trains man..like a an old friend you have to say good bye to.

  • @koolmazin All Scraped. The last ones that isn't a museum train is 103,923, and 925.

  • so lRT rains can fit in BMT and lND?

  • yes, but BMT/IND trains do not fit in IRT

  • wow they took out the windows.

and do these trains ever stop? seems like they just keep on going..

  • I have a small question:

Why redbird is so meaningful to New York people??? Why is the history behind???

(I am from Hong Kong, we do not have much history on subway trains???

  • why take out all the windows?

  • I don't really know... just a guess: might be for improving air circulation in the cars

  • yeah probably cause remember they dont have ACs they had big huge fans that usually just made it hotter.
