I loved them when they were kids, I love them now as seniors, I would like to know who's expectations Mike was trying to live up to, he seems so sad when he says, "someday, someday" Mike, you made it through the Monkees and did Sooo much more! Mike with maracas - look out! After seeing this they should have let Mike play the maracas and not Davy. The croud is so loud - the Monkees probably couldn't even hear what they were singing.

@monkeemen1On "The Monkees" biography (Biography channel), Mickey said he couldn't hear himself playing the drums because everyone was screaming so loud so he watched Mike's right boot tap to the beat-it was the only way he could play since he couldn't hear. FYI-their bio will be on again sometime in the next week, I believe on the Bio channel. Search your DVRs!!!

First concert I ever saw-10 years old. Saw them at Miami Beach Convention Center 1967. Couldn't hear a thing over the screaming. LOVED it!

Met Mike at the Newport Hotel on Miami Beach some years later. Some friends and I rode past him on our bikes (10 speeds) and I said to my friends "that's Mike Nesmith". They said "bullshit". We went back and asked him. He denied it and told my friends I was a "bullshitter" and said they shouldn't hang around with me.

"I keep thinking someday...someday." I love the part where Mike is in the car, talking about how he used to imagine he was playing in front of a big audience. Also, it's cute that he doesn't look at the camera, he appears kind of shy and vulnerable. Very endearing!
