this movie was really good but i hated the little girl she cut the niggas balls off i dont care what a guy does u do not take away his balls i think he should have just got sent to jail and got butt fucked there...but this way was cool too
The man was a predator. He killed/stoodby a girl, and possibly raped her. He wasn't TRYING to be better, in fact, in the end he even said to himself that "This is who i am, thank you Hayley". Hayley was just able t see past his breaking point and see the monster inside.
One of the most unnerving films I've ever seen. As a male, I found it excruciatingly difficult to watch. Powerful, frightening. Psychological horror at its very best. The guy clearly struggled with his demons and really was TRYING to be good. But he just hooked up with the wrong little girl....BIG TIME.

the movie is NOT total crap. you make a grat point SweetheartTheDrunk, i'm surprised a lot of people can't see that message. but it's also a very unique movie in taht there really isn't a protagonist--your empathy shifts between the characters throughout the movie. watch the ellen page interview and read a few articles on the director's/writer's comments, they'll defintely shed light on some of the usually hard to understand points this movie makes.
Look deeper than the ominous lighting and suspenseful music, people. The guy is a predator, pure and simply, and though I take issue's with the girl's character, she's exacting revenge. The lines of villain/victim, in light of that knowledge, should be clear. The message isn't so much "be careful who you meet online" as it is "don't try to screw around with underaged kids." At least, it should be if the movie isn't total crap.
i loooove ellen ! she is an amazing actress in this movie espesialy for being only like 13 or something to ! wow incredible !

This movie has got more attention after juno was released- people loved ellens acting and wanted to see more.
