all the factory air suspension was replaced with after market parts (viair compressor and 10 gallon tank and it had its own switchbox to get front,back,side,side motion going
i have 1971 300sel 6.3 also 3.5 conv 280se and i love both but i did have the same problem water got in to the line and couse to rust you shoud use alchol all the time to remove the water from the system .
Please get the air suspension repaired. It should hold the car up for weeks! You are destroying important parts of both axles by letting it sit down. At least put some distance holders under the car body to let it sit on them.
