this song created a huge mosh pit, it was ridiculous. These guys are amazing live; I suggest that, if you get a chance to see them, see them! It's worth the money!
@adtr094 Wow. You missed out. I went to an ABR concert a few weeks ago. I was alone and a state away. In retrospect, I'm glad nobody wanted to go with me.
@adtr094 If they added that modern screamy type of vocals to it or in fact any type of vocals I think it would compromise the originality of the music. He creates so many great harmonic textures with just the two guitars I don't think theres any space for another harmonic instrument.
@trailbill93 You don't have to have vocals to have a very moving song. I know most people relate best to vocals but in all honesty, great music utilizes all the instruments in the ensemble.
@adtr094 (I was being clever, or so I thought ;-) ) Yeah, I bought it the day it came out.. I'm still letting it sink in, have only listened probably 5 or 6x.. I like the first more right now.. but Weightless is growing on me.. there's a lot to digest there.
@facedspaced Yeah I would have to agree. The self-titled is much more flourishing and solo-esque while the new album just has a better overall sound. And Javier Reyes their rhythm guitarist is much more noticeable in this album than the last. Although Tosin is lead and his credit is due Javier is a great guitarist as well. I also find the newer album much more accessible. I felt that I could only really listen to the self-titled when I was in a certain mood. What do you think?
@adtr094 I *LOVE* that Javier and Navene got to record their own parts on this one. Their influence definitely comes through in a good way. I could listen to the first album whenever, trying to work out, relaxing, playing video games, at work, wherever. I really haven't spent enough time listening to the new one to give it a fair critique, safe to say I love it though.
This music is actually emotional, like classical. Don't get that much these days

This torpid, tepid, tintinnabulation takes triteness, triviality to towering, teetering terminals. 'Tis trash. Tico Torres triumphs, trouncing Tosin's tiresome tambourinist, transcending this tedious, trebly timbre.

@adtr094 bands like animals as leaders should never have vocalists. the music speaks for itself.
