  • One of my early tries with the straight truck I pegged the dock perfect - only I forgot to open my back doors. They had a laugh at me watching me on the CCTV. Great fun, and miss the days.

  • I hope to be that good someday. Did your truck come with those LED lights or did you install them yourself?

  • It's been a while for me, hope I can still back it like this.

  • nice job :)

  • not bad...

  • Not bad at all, I used to drive for U.S. Xpress a few years ago, same kind of truck as this one. No negative comment here, unless it was my "trainer" then I would have too lol. She was a bitch from Irving Texas.

  • nice drivin

  • big truck

  • nice i be driving for us express next month

  • Thats a women driver for you. Straight in the hole, first time every time. LOL Nice driving.

  • u.s express has some nice trucks for real... god damn. I also hear they are a lot better to drivers then most mega carriers (like swift / werner etc.) Im in school now, applying to U.S Express *crosses fingers*

  • @gu151 Good luck..starting myself next week..

  • @amusichound I've spoken with a US Xpress recruiter and she says that while they do have only about 500 manual in their whole fleet, they are soon going to start buying ONLY manual. The days of auto shift at US Xpress are numbered, unless you wanna lease and choose your own.

  • want to know something to make this easier? check out a sideshifter. just look at the video on youtube or go to sideshifteronline. com

  • @SideShifteronline Made for people that cant actually back up a trailer.

  • i drove auto shift for two years and loved it

  • i got family that use to drive for us-xpress,company based in ga..

  • Slick truck, nice driving.

  • Anyone know why ALL large motor carriers look to see where you live and make sure you never get anywhere near there until your scheduled time at home?

  • @comet773080 I wish that were the case, I want to be running the west coast!! :D lol

  • Let's see here working for a larger company the 1st thing your planners/dispatchers do is look and see where you live and make damn sure you can never get anywhere near there until your scheduled time at home. ALL larger carriers

  • very nice vdo lol i like it ;)

can i know what is the song lol plz

  • @MrHichamrami Drowning Pool - Tear Away

  • This is so freaky. I am a US Xpress driver and had truck number 71769! Plus my name is Kim too. What are the odds of that? Almost thought it was my truck.

  • are those clearance lights really freaking out or is it the cam is having trouble picking up LED lights?

  • @wtfmanicanthaveaname It's the LED lights.

  • @wtfmanicanthaveaname looks like it's the hazard light pattern on the front

  • I gotta know what's up with those strobing clearance lights on the truck? Was that for real or a trick of the camera?

  • @charlieputt I don't remember, but it's probably the truck and definitely not the camera.

  • @charlieputt There is lights but what you are seeing is reflective tape between the lights and the angle is reflecting the light

  • is this Dal-Tile in Fishers? Looks like it!

  • @tigbomtom I think it was!

  • Hopefully you haven't made that mistake yet! They SUCK! My ex and I went there as a team, wow, great, first week 7500 miles! Yeah, that's good! Second week 6500 miles! Ok, we can deal with that. 3rd week stranded in Mass., well that sucks, then the crap hit the fan, by the 6th week we were down to 3000 miles as a team if we were lucky! Dropped the truck in Okie City and made a bigger mistake and went to Prime! What a freakin night mare.

  • @toomuchez i agree with u there pal.. i also agree with annaisabanana08.. big companies suck.. ive always choose smaller companies, because drivers would have better treatment, more direct connection with dispatch, and more miles.

  • beautiful truck, nice sound!!

  • Way to go Girl!!!!

  • hey im going to us xpress the 22nd im working a job driving local is it worth quting where i am to go with them i need some advice that has worked for them...nice work btw...

  • My cousin (the driver) said this:

Tell him not to work for us xpress. I would recommend smaller company. They don't really care about you as a person at a big company. Big companies treat you like a number. You should work for company that has fewer than 1,000 trucks.

  • nice work Kim see you tommoro

  • what is the name of the song in this video?

  • Drowning Pool - Tear Away

  • I used to drive trucks long time ago and I thought about working for them and gave them a call, but they said they would only hire teams in my area. Well, I am not a team, so I drive a school bus...

  • i see you were pullin one of those shitty ass lease trailers they are junk

  • r those clearance lights flashing? how

  • If they are flashing, it's by accident.

  • oh it maybe the video

  • Awesome Kim, do you still work for US Xpress, if so, how are you liking the company so far ? me and my brother are looking to come aboard once our driver training is completed, is the pay good and are you getting the loads, the economy is still bad so I know its still hard out there for drivers. also, are you a driver trainer, would love to train with you if you are, its good to see the gals out there handling business in the big rigs, NICE!!!

  • OK us express sucks they eat up the low rates and are the cause of the problem

  • fuck yeah they do. they will get jobs at lowers rates then cut are pay

  • volvo is the best looking truck

  • i've been wanting to work for this company for a long time, but they're not hiring out of Mi.

  • Hey kim any advice for me I'm going to submit an application with u.s. express. I just graduated from a tdschool. What do you do during your first three daysof orientation?

  • and thats a wrap great job driver ... r u 2 still driving together ?

  • After that, my other cousin went with her. I finished my senior year of high school. A year later, I'm back with her.

  • Actually some of us can say we've done that.

  • Nah, ya think?

  • To PEE or not to PEE :-)

  • ...That is the question. :)

  • I'm a little surprised at the discussion here. Doubles routinely back into docks in the manner Metalboy22 suggests. In fact, some larger food distribution centers require the practice in their policy to stream-line shipping/receiving at their facilities.

This method is used widely, even in Canada and the US. Australia is not the only country to employ trailer combinations.

  • Of course it is.

  • no they don't, not in the U.S.

  • Conway doubles up quite frequently, but their trailers are a lot less than 53'.

  • how do those trucks perform going up steep hills?

  • I've backed up several trailers.

So yes I CAN say that I have done that.

Only I drive a Scania and not a Volvo

  • Good for you.

  • yes that is good for me.

though it would be much cooler with a b-double or tripple for that matter.

  • What?

  • double or tripple trailers.

  • Ah. Yes, that would be much cooler.

  • But you wouldn't back up double or triple trailers into the dock anyway. This shows your lack of experience as a driver because you would otherwise have the knowledge that you do not back more than one trailer into the dock at a time. The proper way is to unhook from one trailer and then back that one into the dock, and then unhook from the other, etc., etc..

  • if you have enough space you could do it.

onhook 1 trailer at the first dock then take the other trailer and back into another dock.

then you can empty both much faster.

though it wouldnt be fair if there were other drivers "in line" that needed a dock to empty the trailer.

  • Yes, but what would be the point? You still have to unhook from the trailers at some point to get access to the next trailer lined up behind you. If there was enough space, it could be done, but it would have to done in a straight line. Where we were at, it was not possible because of the area.

  • unhook at the same point?

do you know how a double looks like?

like, how its connected to the truck?

you back the whole thing up into a dock, then you unhook the 2nd trailer from the 1st since there has to be a kingpin for it to be connected, then you drive forward and back the 1st trailer into another dock.

and it all depends on the length of the trailer if it could be done where you were at.

  • The point of double/triple trailers. If the trailers were smaller, yes, I suppose it could be done. But the fact of the matter is, is that it's a single trailer. I'm sure if you want to watch double trailers and triple trailers and someone backing them up, you can go and find it.

  • sure

just need to travel half the globe to australia.

  • That would be a nice trip. Go right ahead.

  • Actually if you knew anything about truckin you would know you don't back up doubles/trips. You unhook from one and back the other. Not that it can't be done, I have seen it before, but most of the time that is how it is done.

  • And if you knew how to read then you would know that I already said that in a previous comment.

"But you wouldn't back up double or triple trailers into the dock anyway. This shows your lack of experience as a driver because you would otherwise have the knowledge that you do not back more than one trailer into the dock at a time. • @annaisabanana08 Sounds like he has more experience driving then you or Kim. But nice to see a us xpress driver actually back up and not destroy the dock or any other truck in the area. Tell her to keep up the good work and hopefully someday she can get a real truckin job.

  • @twiggy148 She did better than that. She went to nursing school!

  • I have a movie from 18wheels of steel haulin where I back a double into a dock,

where it can be done depends on the length of the trailers and you unhook the 2nd form the 1st by loosing the kingpin.

then you just drive forward and back the 1st one into another dock.

there are EU doubles with 1 long (6 wheel trailer) and 1 short on 4 wheels.

  • I never said it couldn't be done ever. In that situation, with that size of a trailer, it is not possible. I'm sure it's much easier with smaller trailers.

  • exactly

  • That's how you do it Driver..

    Good job!

  • Did you ever go and pee?

  • Um, yeah.

  • you were at a meijer supercenter weren't you?

I use to drive for USX for 2 years and I remember that store?

  • I have no idea. I doubt it.

  • a hard short turn just like one of my docks. only we aint got the nice in to out door seald docks like they do.

  • OH! Um, my friends.

  • why can't i say i've done this? Where are you going with that?

  • With what?

  • What you said at 1:37 in you're video.

  • Great job!

  • Hahaha! You did do a great job!

  • do u really have to pee?

  • Hahaha. Yes, I really did. I immediately went to go see the ducks that morning and take videos. After this video, Kim and I did our morning business.

  • It was horrible, I almost peed on myself I had to go so bad by the time I found a restroom.

  • Nice Alley dock there. well done =P. Drive safe!
