PLEASE UPLOAD MORE VIDEOS! Your videos are really great I really want to see more of Kangals just interacting with people and other dogs and i'd love to see some videos of how the pup has grown and how he looks now at full size! Your videos are brilliant upload more!!!
Really nice video. I can't believe how well your puppy is behaving esp. with the dogs jumping up and down in the back of your truck with him. I had to watch several times and still could not believe what I was seeing. So much action and so much going on. He really loves to see people too as is evidenced by his tail wagging each time someone comes up. What an admirable thing to be doing. Best of luck in your venture.
Great video and fantastically well behaved dog especially for only 17 weeks. It is obvious that you are an expert trainer to have him off leash and so well behaved. From reading your posts I see you recently lost your other partner. I am sorry to hear that but it appears you have made an excellent choice for your next dog. I truly admire and respect the rescue dogs and their handlers. I am sure that you and your new partner will make your Louie proud.
You are very kind, thank you for your condolences. Concerning my Kangal pup...I spent many hours over many weeks observing Buddy and his litter mates. I know it sounds crazy...but what you see in the video, I "kind of expected to happen. This is a remarkable Kangal, different in many ways, yet still a Kangal!
Thank you for your interest. Kangals ARE allowed to be exported from Turkey...with the Government's permission. It is important to bring new bloodlines into the USA...it strengthens the breed-line.
Wow, you guys really go at it. I love your dog. Good luck with your endeavors. Why are all these people so against a Kangal doing SAR work? There is a beautiful horse show from Montreal called "Cavalia". They mention that they have three stallions in the troop, which other trainers said would "never work out". The show is making millions. Obviously, old dogs CAN be taught new tricks.
In all honesty, I have nothing to do that that particular pup, although I do own 2 Kangal dogs myself. I have a very close friend who is a Turkish national, who now resides in the States who is very familar with his fellow countrymen using the Kangal dog in SAR work over there. I'd be willing to send you my phone number through email (or vice versa) so that we could discuss this and clear up any misunderstanding.
I am not attacking. Kangal Dogs do not attack people unless taught to by their owner. I have nothing to do with that pup except to be able to see this video and be duly impressed. Again, I ask that we direct attentions to the video and what we are being shown. This is the third time I am asking this, for anyone keeping count! Lol!!
Thank you for educating the public about this rare breed. The dissenting poster's comments are not directed at genuine concern for the breed...they're a personal vendetta that continues to obsess and haunt them. You have an enormous cheering section from fellow Kangal owners who applaud the training that you are doing with your boy and we are excited to watch you open the door to amazing possibilities for this breed, that up till now, were unknown. Kudos to you!
Great looking pup! I have a Kangal/ Caucasian Ovcharka. I have to ask, why a Kangal for search & rescue? Not typical of the breed but they are intelligent & driven. My Kangal/ CO is a great guardian but doesn't care much for people other than my family. Did you get him from a U.S. breeder? Or is he a true Sivas Kangal?
Louie, my Rhodesian Ridgeback, and USAR partner for the past fourteen years, recently passed away. This was another breed that was not recommended for USAR work. He was a true HERO DOG, finding numerous survivors during his tours. Buddy is a true Sivas Kangal...I wouldn't have anything less!!!
Lot's of NEGATIVITY out there...BUT, my Kangal WILL be an USAR dog!
