and layla's guitar is amazing and sexy and powerful and passionate.

Whereas George did the things he did because he was going through a rough time in his life and was probably confused. There's inherent unfaithfullness and then there's unfaithfullness that comes from pressure. I believe it was the 2nd for George.

I choose Something. Not just because I'm a Beatle fan. I've listened to both and I know the story behind each. To me, whether or not it was written for her, Something seems alot more sincere and innocent and true, whereas Layla, though a beautiful song, seems more like an expression of Lust than genuine selfless Love. And that turns me away. No matter what Pattie says about it...Besides, after what Eric Clapton did once he was with her just shows he probably just wanted her for game.

I like 'Something' more as a song, but 'Layla' is more of a love song to Pattie. There are various interviews where George says that 'Something' wasn't about Pattie. 'Layla' was 100% written about Pattie (except the name). But I like 'Something' more as a song. I like the second half of 'Layla' more than the first bit.
