  • davvero stupenda!!!

  • Brilliant coloratura technique of course, and for a change the diction is not that bad. The conducting is, at best, amateur (is this early Bonynge?) , the tempo way too fast, the ending like listening to a park band.

  • @philipc67 The conductor of this concert is Fulvio Vernizzi, and he is on a tear throughout. The end of "Sempre Libera" in the same concert is a race to the finish!

  • Without question the greatest soprano of all time. He voice was other-worldly; so beautiful, so ridiculously, technically perfect. It never fails to send shivers up my spine.

  • SHE IST ONE OF THE GREATEST SINGERS OF ALL THE TIME

    BRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAVVVVVVVVVVVVVAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

  • bravo et merci ....henri

  • R. I. P. Joan Sutherland, joining Maria Callas, Renata Tebaldi, Birgit Nilsson and others in Opera Heaven

  • what a dream voice.we with good taste and musical inteligence, love her. forever Joan!!!!!!!!

  • indestructible....inalcanzable....inabarcable......suprema......no hay calificativos ni para tan siquiera intentar describir este sonido.....simplemente unico e incomparable.estereo totalllll...por no decir cuadrofonico.....

  • The best!

  • The Italians get all upset because she beat'em at their own game but she's the greatest of them all from that period and without a doubt there has been no one since! Certainly time will attest to that!

  • @sediziosevoci It's a bit brisk, but take it up with the conductor. The discussion was the supremecy of the singing, which is indisputably supreme.

  • i love this - I was lucky enough to catch her onstage one time towards the end of her career [Esclarmonde at Covent Garden]

  • Brava!

  • If there is still anybody stupid enough to question why Joan was called the "Voice of the Century" this should put an end to their stupidity! Bravo Joan and Vivia diva!!!!!!!!

  • Non esistono parole umane per descrivere il suo canto. Divina.

  • Joan Sutherland at her best.

  • I only have two words: LA. STUPENDA.

  • That kind of singing is out of this world!!! Amazing!

  • Only one word: WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Dame Joan tosses this music off like she doesn't know it's supposed to be difficult. The high D's are beautiful and thrilling. Thanks for the post!

  • I love this recording...

  • This is flabbergastingly gorgeous. Absolutely not enough words to describe this. Thank you so much.

  • Perfect...

The best and most beautiful voice...

  • Unbelievable. Thank you!
