did anyone acutally save the hostages? it was a tough scenario and i applaud them for trying love your website btw im going to Rez 5 in march can't wait for it
im 15 and i love airsoft but i havent found any tournaments that allow people under 18....i pretty much have a full team, 6, well i have 4 and im trying to convince 2 more and we have been practicing for ages
am i the only one who wouldnt throw a flash bang? theres just to much time in between tossing it, closing the door, waiting for detination, reopening and getting everyone in there. id hate to say go in guns blazing, but well it seems like it would work, blow in, take that one good shot before he can pull the trigger
That was cool, I would have gone a bit less tactical though (street clothes, holster, and mag belt) using similar weapons in small 2-3 man teams to allow the whole team to enter quickly without crowding it. Of course what I think doesn't really matter, it's just an opinion.
hey im just starting airsoft but i can shoot a sniper pretty well i tried my friends. i dont own any gear or wepons yet. do you now any teams for beginners around boston like close to the city area cause i really wanna get into it. thanks so let me know
@azuremain It's a team-based competition. Each team runs the same scenario vs the same actors. Teams with the least casualties who complete the objectives get the most points.
Not that I'm an expert or anything but after watching this video what may have worked better is to enter with much smaller teams and have someone toss in the flashbang through the window. Two entry points if possible. I don't think I could've done any better, this was a really hard scenario. Looks like speed and distraction is the most important thing.
@Boneyman One of the teams did try to flashbang from the window but the timing was all wrong. Unfortunately it didn't work out that great but it was a great idea.
Really not bad for milsim! One of the best mission vids iv'e seen. Maybe a little overkill with the huge team involved, but everyone wants to be a part right.
I"m going to be moving into the Vancouver area in the upcoming months. I've already made aquaintance with the members of SOTA in the Vancouver area and I am really looking forward to participating in some of your skirmishes.
If all of them area as good as this, I can't wait!
Distraction. It gives the entry team time to act with some speed. As long as you have that extra time, even if it is a three seconds you can do something. You can save hostages and eliminate the threat if need be when you use the flashbang.
i am from mt hood and make training vids in the art of ninjutsu and budo taijutsu traditional japanese ninja and samurai arts. but this summer i will be making airsoft vids too. i got a pretty fun following on here. if you go to my channel click training vid 107 to see all the locations i train at. fun airsoft vids coming this spring. good vid guys. keep it up
cam at 2:45 i think might be a snaking roach cam a regular roach cam the lense is about 10mm in diameter but it snakes so I dont knowi just started watching and btw where do you film
Not sure what kind of cam that is, those guys brought it and used it to see what was happening in the room. I don't think it worked very well. This was shot in a small town, Rainier OR.
the best team was actually the second team. I counted at least 5 seconds before the stack was in the room on the first team, and they put muzzles across backs three times in that short segment. plus they lost three team members including the negotiator.
not many teams did good teams should have used a loud explosion out side windows just before the team entered room it would have gave them that extra second to get the shot of!
Also, when the negotiator went into the room, since the target is looking at the negotiator, the "flashbang on stick" method could have been put into excellent use. Although, I have to say, the second negotiator sounded very professional, until....he mentioned the "tactical team"
I would have stuck a flashbang on a stick, and stick it just far enough through the window for it to be effective, then do a dual entry with a 4 man team going through the door, and a 2 man going through one of the windows. Also, I'd smash through the glass on the door with the muzzle to shoot through. They should have stripped the negotiator, fiber optic should have been inserted from the top corner of the window, or underneath the door. And the negotiator shouldnt have left at 3:14
no it's a game where the admins and the guys played along and the players had to play along as the force of S.W.A.T and get it done their own special way
tactical.... is such an overused, and misused word. the word strategic is essentially the same as tactical. and frankly, a strategic jump doesn't make any sense.
very Nice! I haven't played with Hostages, but i bet it is hard because they have to make it! Shit how do you do that with a Mad man? What you need are flash bangs! or just bang Nades!
I want to play a huge Mil Sim game in like a Feild/Forest with Medics!
I live in South FL and it Barely exists down here and also when we play. They say 350ish is to hot! WTF! The average GBB Pistol is around 350 and I think if you can't take it don't play. Anyways, I don't anyone in there right mind would shoot in the face @ Close Range unless they are a Dumb ASS.
check out mind games productions, they have a 350 fps for rifles but no limit for pistols so to speak. they run a 3 day event at the camp blanding MOUT facility once a year on memorial day weekend. shit is off the walls.
They did say frag out; probably just using the wrong terminology. Frags in our events actually have to spray Airsoft BBs, otherwise they are considered distraction devices only.
wow, some of those teams were absolutely horrible. So many other options available that weren't even used. They had eyes into the room and even with advanced room configuration knowledge they went storming in, much to the peril of the hostages. Open windows, no smoke used...
Yeah, which is odd, every team had an option to deploy a sniper/observer team to the back area for monitoring the windows. Only 1 team actually used one.

I don't know I'm not in the military or nothing, but when you open the door to throw the flash he sees you and it gives him time to shoot the hostages, other way, everything is happening real quick for him. I was referring to the 3:22 point where the guy is running through the hall with no weapon up and looking backwards. At 6:30 shows a more appropriate movement through the hall.
I am former military (Infantry) and currently Law Enforcement. Weapons are not meant to be down or up but offset to the sides and forward (or covering the flanks and rear). That second team did a good job of that.

Same mission, several teams. Only the first one shows the entire scenario, the others are shortened.
