Saw him at the Greek many moons ago...best live show I've ever been to. Shortly after the release of Holy Smoke. He opened with "Low Room"...behind the curtain, gyrating to the music in shadow form. Was awesome when the curtain went up...one of my favorite "artists".

Actually, I hand painted all of these sets and illustrations. I wasn't ripping off Smashing Pumpkins, though Billy is one of my best friends so I'm sure the influence is there in my mind. But, it was a very long process. The idea was to create 'sets' in illustration instead of building them on a stage to tell the story. It is like a play but illustrating on big pieces of wood gave me more freedom. The gothtopus, the backgrounds, the owl, the roses, etc. are from my imagination.

The "Tonight, Tonight" video was based off of it, but just because it's the same type of animation doesn't mean it's a rip off of the video. Please check out some info on early 1900s animation before accusing entertainers of ripping off other entertainers. See "stop motion animation" etc.
