People these two singers are of different genders. Josh Groban is a superstar in his own right.. This was a wrong pick in song. I don't know who chose it. It has always been difficult to harmonize. It was a big mistake. He can sing in French, Italian, Spanish and English and maybe other languages and like Mireille, some languages come easier. Josh is much younger and should not be compared to her. Most of what he does borders on semi classical, and not so much the type of pop she does.
That's "Jos Ggggoban!" Nicely sung. Josh is so professional, he didn't freak out with the horrid french accent in Mireille. I must say her accent is as bad as her hair-do. But they sing like angels anyway. And Josh always perfect!
I agree that singing in another language isn't easy, but Josh Groban's native language is English and he can still sing the color out of some Italian songs, French songs, and Spanish songs. When he sings in French and Spanish even Italian you cannot detect a heavy accent. Andrea Bocelli is another example, and so is Celine Dion, and she is FRENCH. So please dont make excuses. They are over rated, and this performance sucked.

It's true, in this song she doesn't sounds very good, but her voice has charm the hearts of many people for several decades. She is not young any more but some of her songs will never go old. I wish I could speak with Josh Groban!!!! I have two songs that would be taylor made for him to sing. They are both ballads and I know as there is a God in heaven that he would put gold linings on them. Josh, if you are reading this please visit my tube and listen to the vocals. I sung one of them only my voice is terrible.

I've grown up listening to this song over and over and over a million times over because of the Wizard of Oz.. and with her singing it. it just made it that much more meaningful to me

People these two singers are of different genders. Josh Groban is a superstar in his own right.. This was a wrong pick in song. I don't know who chose it. It has always been difficult to harmonize. It was a big mistake. He can sing in French, Italian, Spanish and English and maybe other languages and like Mireille, some languages come easier. Josh is much younger and should not be compared to her. Most of what he does borders on semi classical, and not so much the type of pop she does.

That's "Jos Ggggoban!" Nicely sung. Josh is so professional, he didn't freak out with the horrid french accent in Mireille. I must say her accent is as bad as her hair-do. But they sing like angels anyway. And Josh always perfect!

I agree that singing in another language isn't easy, but Josh Groban's native language is English and he can still sing the color out of some Italian songs, French songs, and Spanish songs. When he sings in French and Spanish even Italian you cannot detect a heavy accent. Andrea Bocelli is another example, and so is Celine Dion, and she is FRENCH. So please dont make excuses. They are over rated, and this performance sucked.

Only people from Europe are truly familiar with the beautiful voice and talent of Mireille Mathew. It's true, in this song she doesn't sounds very good, but her voice has charm the hearts of many people for several decades. She is not young any more but some of her songs will never go old. If you realy want to hear the true voice I then listen to this song: "Amour Defendu" only then you will understand why she is so popular in Europe.

@Kaldmigo The woman is 61 years old when she made this recording, you shouldn't expect her to look 20. As a child Parisians made fun of her Provençal accent, and her dyslexia scrambled words. She overcame her poverty and dyslexia and made her first of roughly forty albums when she was 20 years old.
