And about the SOTB comparisons: While SOTB is technically superior, it sure as hell sucked a lot more gameplay-wise (and when I say "more" I mean that this wasn't such a great game either).

C'mon guys! As an Amiga fan I have to say this game is AMAZING, and whilst not technically in the same league as SOTB, it is a far more impressive coding accomplishment.

You guys have to remember that the Amiga had a heap of specialised graphics and sound hardware that the ST did not, so getting a game of Amiga scrolling etc quality on the ST is some achievement. This looks like an STe game, but even the STe's blitter etc was not as good as the Amigas. Amazing programming.

@trophy242: beast is not technically way better than this game. The amiga has hardwarescrolling where there ST doesn't. The Carebears (who programmed this game) invented the hardware (or sync) scroller on the ST (using border removal techniques) so the screen can be put on any even address. The intro really shows off the syncscroll technique to it's fullest. All that beast really offered was lots of parallax layers and as gameplay its crap.

I can never get this to load on my emus past the intro screen. tried it on winston and the latest steem with various tos versions and memory settings. Ive also tried various different cracks and still no go.

@bazfanv2 In Steem emgine is a Patch for that game in the options of steem. With that it works fine.

@bazfanv2 works without problems on Steem. Steem has an Enchanted Land patch in the options.

@bazfanv2 it works with steem you have to run steem through the command line but in stfm border mode you can do this by typing this Steem.exe stfmborder

and then you have to apply the patch for enchanted land when the tears screen appears ...enjoy!!!
