Why wouldn't you prefer that she do it herself rather than nag you to do a project that doesn't interest you? My Navy SEAL son prefers to sew his own specialty equipment on the heavy duty sewing machine I gave him for his birthday. Cutting fabric doesn't threaten his masculinity anymore than cutting wood threatens her femininity.
