Alright I was too, I wasn't even born in 1988, but I love 80's and 90's and yes...she has ALWAYS been an amazing dancer, though I find it hard to not compare her to Janet Jackson (I'm sure many people do too), specially when I found out she was a backdancer for Janet :-).

Basically, when "Straight Up" took off, the album (which had been out for many months at that point) took off, and the label RE-released "Knocked Out" (with two or three versions in rotation, where it finally peaked at #41 in 1990 I think) and re-released this single, which became a Top 10 hit.
