  • She was jlo before jlo was.

  • Paula Abdul was and is the standard for pop dancing! She is my dancing idol!

  • Emilio Estevez is a fuckin' idiot!

  • Dammn they can dance :)

  • She is awesome!!

  • TYPICAL ROMANCE AD... "must be employed" and "must be financially secure" Any guy who answers one of these ads is stupid!!!

  • NO WONDER!!!... I WORE MY HAIR LIKE THAT IN THE 80s lmfao...its because of this BEAUTIFUL WOMEN... PAULA ABDULE she is soo BOSS....

  • pipes aren't too strong, but her dance moves and choreography are BOSS!!

  • 2:36 - 'the clench' move

  • love you paula :D

  • i AM impresed by Paula Abdule teaching good morals in her music for young girls all over amercia, her high self-steam, her-couarge and her be-your-self attudude. Great personal trates that american grils need today! (unlike WHORE(S) Modnna, Britany, Paris Hilton, Beyonce and J-Lo) who teach "i see cash then i open up"!!!

  • This was Corey Clark's favorite song by Paula by a long shot.

  • lol

  • im looking for a song ive heard a veryveryvery long time ago, the only thing i know is that she is driving in a car in the clip and that is was a song that used to make me cry, so a very sensitive song. are there any die hard paula fans who perhaps knows about which song i am taling about?

  • @lalalaloveyouxx The name of the song is Rush Rush

  • @lalalaloveyouxx You may be referring to Rush Rush, which featured Keanu Reeves. Thanks.

  • she still hot brings old times back for me

  • She was THE CHOREOGRAPHER of the 80s!!! This and Cold Hearted was some of her BEST work!

  • I see some Janet Jackson moves and style in her...i no she used to work for miss jackson...just saying miss the 90's

  • @orion2themax The reason you see some Janet Jackson moves is because Paula Abdul taught her alot that she knows and helped her choreograph HER moves when she was first new and out with her "Control" album. I know this cause I didn't like Abdul at first being a total Janet Jackson fan and idolized her as a teenager, until someone pointed this out to me. Lol :)

  • WOW this song was in my head a couple days ago and now I find it on accident!

  • @ChuloRob617 syncrhonicity. once you ride a of wave of coincidences is very hard to come down!

  • LOVE Paula's videos - this is from the day when pop stars actually danced and did it BRILLIANTLY!!!

  • very sexly

  • With all the hits that she has if she went back out on tour, I would definetly get a ticket....At least I know I will be entertained as opposed to some ot the junk that's out now....

  • ...the tap rutine is just insane!!!... definetly my favourite PA video!!!!

  • Bravo Paula, thanks for this one. Growing up thought that most women would LISTEN and Take Heart in the lyricks...from back in the day to now, the jury is still out.

    Still thought thanks Paula!!

  • now say that with a straight face paula! :-)

  • I love such style of music videos!!!

    80' s 4-ever!!!!!

  • @19emilia93 i bet the 80s was HOTT

  • And the G-notes have NOTHING to do with it, yeah right...

We learned this in school long time ago: "Rich girls don't marry poor boys Jay Gatsby..."

  • @mid2k6

No, it's not the money honey, it's the way he nails her...

  • I can't believe that people doesn't know she's a great dancer...

"wow... she can really dance".... wtf?

Where have you been? She won't be a judge in American Idol for no reason right?

  • @porkisgood4u being able to dance dont have shit to do with American Idol..after all that is a show about looking for the next best singer not the next best dancer.Im preety sure people thought she was a judge cuz she once was a singer herself.

  • @porkisgood4u

    Probably his/her mother's uterus.

Alright I was too, I wasn't even born in 1988, but I love 80's and 90's and yes...she has ALWAYS been an amazing dancer, though I find it hard to not compare her to Janet Jackson (I'm sure many people do too), specially when I found out she was a backdancer for Janet :-).

  • @arturocas90

Actually, she was Janet's choreographer for some time.

  • @arturocas90 she was choreographer for janet... first the jacksons for there reunion tour. hand picked by the family and then back later for choreograph janets Control album :)

LOVE them both <3 ... but Janet a lil bit more- cos the jacksons are just NUMBER 1. INsane talent :)

  • fuckin fierce !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Very shiek

  • @Hardliner1269 she is so hott

  • @paulaabdulabdul Simon would Wholeheartedly agree with you

  • My favorite paula video to date. It set my flaming crush for her in motion all those many years ago. :D

  • Am I the only person that ALWAYS thought that she and Lisa Lisa looked like identical twins!? Even in "Head to Toe", Lisa Lisa looked so much like Paula Abdul!!!

  • wow........she can REALLY dance

  • Love paula(: It looks like she never aged

  • it is all of those things in african american society girl stop playing games missy. Comone dear

  • I never saw this version

  • Yeah, I'm so sure it's just the way that he loves you, Paula. It's not any of those things that thousands of women are searching for all around the world. Nice one. You don't fool me.

  • She was such a brilliant dancer and this tune is bad-ass!

  • @whatthedeuce81 its a very sexly and sweet song- she is also very cute

  • This was the time when "Knocked Out" and "(It's Just) The Way That You Love Me" were Top 10 R&B singles, but when the label was trying so many "tricks" to get Paula to be an international pop star. Basically, when "Straight Up" took off, the album (which had been out for many months at that point) took off, and the label RE-released "Knocked Out" (with two or three versions in rotation, where it finally peaked at #41 in 1990 I think) and re-released this single, which became a Top 10 hit.

  • @marcusrob02 I knew there were two version of one of her videos. One while she was primarily known in the black community and being played on BET and then another when they rereleased it after Straight Up crossed over to POP. Was it this video or "Knocked Out" that had two versions? Do you know?

  • sweet and sexly

  • yay! go paula go paula go paula!whoop whoop! dont make me start dancing!LOL

  • I wish it was 1980 because I absolutely hate the 20th century! It was perfect! I wasn't even born then and I still LOVE it! I think she's a beautiful singer! LUV THE SONG!!!

  • Erm, the 80s was in the 20th century....

  • Huh! Oh yeah what am I talking about these days? Maybe I've been taking to much Carrot Juice! Yeah sorry, you're right it was the 20th century! Correctio!!! :P

  • @80smusicfanNO1 lmao! thats true(:

  • song came out in 1989..

  • lmao u mean u hate the 21st century

  • Yes, I am saying I HATE the 21st century because there is way to much technology, the cars look like junk, music is way to moden and hardly anyone cares about the environment. I'm glad that I'm different and please plant more trees to get rid of most of the pollution.

    Love Abraham :P

  • @abraham733 i totallly agree

  • Thanks, I'm glad there's a few people out there that agree with me. :)

  • i recall this being the remix to radio even though this was actually the first version to be released...but it flopped but thanks to Straight up, this song got a second chance!

  • tht is true.when it came out knocked out and this song went down... but when straight up came out these songs went number 3

  • i listen to 80's classic hits cos my mum knew them all

  • Comment removed

  • not her biggest hit but a number 3 in the US charts back in 1989..

she actually had six consecutive number one hits in the US between 1988 to 1992..she was as big as britney and jennifer lopez back then.

not my cup of tea....sounds kind of dated today , but it was quite impressive back then

i still like opposites attract and rush rush tho..those were good singles and her best work imo

  • Well when this song 1st came out, it became a Top 10 Hit on the R&B Chart before it was re-released and it became a Top 5 Hit on the Pop Chart.

  • hold on this song was really good ... it went number 3

like when gaga came out with paparazzi .... papa - came out to be only number 9 or something the 1st week or something like that

anyway this song did good not up-to-date like u say u dont see miley, gaga, beyonce, perry, britney, n all singing this type of instrumental n Melony

  • @jazzmanEE

It does sound dated... the guitar solo... the drums that sound like slaps... omg! But I still like it :-)

  • this is her best hit, chop and screw this for me
