I purchased this device about 6 months ago and I absolutely love it. It works really well, powered via usb, and really no setup. The only negative thing about this product is it will not upscale to 1080p (More Apple issue than AV360). Also, to toggle between your computer and AV360 press "COMMAND + F2". The manual does not explain this!

i think this guy has his facts wrong.. im looking at my 21.5" imac and it has the same ports.. i dont see any way it wouldnt work on a 21.5" or any of the macbook pro's.. u just need the usb port and that other port that your vga adaption connects to.. i think hes wrong.

Strange... because the Apple Cinema Display allows 1080p signal, which it even upscales to 2560x1440.

And the iMac 27 inch is basically a Cinema Display with a built in computer.

Keep in mind that iMac only takes in 720p input, so display will only be at 720p.

Most video capture devices out there are component cable compatible and they plug in to your computer through usb.Their is a slight lag. Also, because they are usb based, the quality will not look anything close to 720p. So if you plan on recording movies or tv, than their should be no problem, other than the quality. But if you plan on recording yourself playing a game, you might run into a little bit of lag.

hello, i have got the belkin av360, i am getting problem when toggling between ps3 and imac, when switching it on for the 1st time its fine, the screen goes black and then ps3 home screen comes up but if you press control and f2 to go back to the imac the screen goes black for a second but then lines of colours show across the screen for a few seconds before returning to the imac home screen, i see in your video it does the same, is this meant to be like this? did you have to change any setting

@chrisyboy1972 This is pretty much plug and play, you just plug all the cables and then when you turn on your ps3/xbox360 the screen automatically switches from the mac desktop to your games, you can control this switch back and forth with command + F2.

@Andrewwaldert The port is the same however the 21" imac doesnt allow signal input, is just for output. The 27" accept signal input in this case HDMI signal.

@maximummovies 720p is plenty for me. I can see the difference between 1080p and 720p but it is very minimum. When I was able to play xbox on my mac I sold my HDTV. I guess is just a matter of personal choice.
