i read in the military magazine, anylisis after the incident in mumbai..during searcing the terroris inside the Hotel..the electricity was cut off.. but the commandoes using the normal torch light during searching from 1room to another room, of course they have to prepare if there is any booby trap or wahatever. The poor things is they didnt use the night visions google..Why??

There was a reason why it took 69 hrs.... there were civilians, political leaders, foreigners etc in the hotel..... we just couldnt blow the whole place down. Moreover there was even a jewish family and we will never cause bad relationship between india and israel. Thats the reason it took so long! one of the american magazines even listed this commando action as one of the best layed out plan... even better than the french plane hi-jack!

I still have certain queries regarding indias commando capability .

1.Indian Commandos Lack Superior Fire Power like the MP-7 smg or the HK G- 36K

2.They Lack the Information Provided By our corrupt State security

3.They dont Even have Women as commandoes Since around 65% Hostages are Women and children.

4.they require Choppers like Black Hawk

5.Police require S.W.A.T Teams

1. Mp5and HKG is an advanced weaponry Indian commandoes have them.

2. Yes I agree here, they need strong communications and operation ground imaging systems before running into combat.

3.we have enough men to fill those places.

4.They have a very good and better chopper than blackhawk and one of the other options is ALH Dhruv.

5 Police has to be overhauled, INSAS or AK have to be induced or else tavor range of guns.

MP5 and HKG Are outdated 1980s era weaponry Which fire the same 9mm pistol.round the terrorists in mumbai were equipped with Not what Public found AK-47 but AK-74/101 advanced Weapons that can create a whole in walls.Also Alh dhruv is still needs to be fabricated for hostage rescue specification let alone act as Attack helicopters for deterring pak tanks.Finally if Russian Spetsnaz and French Legionnaire can have Hardcore women Special forces why cant we.

MP5 and Uzi like weapons are suitable for urban warfare, the terrorists who were using the guns were only out there to kill, the commando's duty is rescuing, so he need not have AK74/101 are whatever, ALH is a good helicopter in which era are you? Its already in production, th Attack helicopter isnt ALH,its known as LCH, please next time try to do some check or upgradation of ur facts, coast guards of IN are already using ALH for rescue services.

2.Indian commandos have sophesticated weapons, Like For MARCOS,AK-47 and variants, Colt M16A2, INSAS 5.56 mm, Type 56 assault rifle, Tavor assault rifle, HK MP5 sub-machine gun and 7.62 mm SLR assault rifle, H-3 Sea King and Chetak helicopters, Cosmos CE-2F/X100 two-man submarines.

Police Will be geting New Dhruv hlicopters and Will Be having a Rapid Action team Trained Under NSG Commandos.
