Familiar name; I remember her representing Norway several times. Glad to hear she is still active. She's lovely, kind of resembles a young Lindsay Wagner, and this is my favourite song of hers :)
No, seriously... A very sweet "70's" song, performed by a very sweet girl! Definetely one of my favourite entries of the ESC of 1979! Together with the Finnish entry...
I saw her in concerts this week singing this song, among others. She is just as beautiful today. She had the concert together with her ex-husband Jahn Teigen, Norways entry to ESC in 1978.
Concerning the outfit, Anita actually found a very sexy red trousersuit in Jerusalem just days before the final, and wanted to change to that, but it was too late. The pink dress is nice, but it's too formal for both the song and Anita. Perfect for the after show reception, though! The song is no masterpiece, but pleasant enough, and certainly better than several better placed ones, like Portugal, Ireland, Greece and Switzerland.
I remember applause every time Norway scored in the voting, plus backstage shots of Anita smiling and giggling. They were just happy to not come in last place for once! I've already mentioned the backing singers arranged by height, have I mentioned that Anita's dress looks like a pink version of Gigliola Cinquetti's from 1974?
En hyggelig liten sang fra oss! :-D (No, I shall not write my comment in Norwegian. :-P). Possibly Anita Skorgan's best entry in ESC. A nice, possibly atmospheric summer song with a slighly jazz-tune (I'm not sure). Our 11th place was good enough and well deserved in this strong year. Great performance by Anita and the backing vocals! Veldig godt gjort, Anita!
This one has been growing on me. A really nice, easy-going tune, courtesy of Anita herself. Very charming, and this is in my ears one of the most spotless performances of the night. A song for a summer night.
Nice commentary T & thanks for posting this - memories flood back. I seem to have a penchant for Norwegian songs. I find it hard to separate this from Casanova in how I rate them.
Nice eyebrows.

This was one of my faves that year (along with Greece, France, Finland, Portugal and Germany). Great songs that year.
I remeber how Anita celebrated each point they gave to Norway. Just lovely.

tout bonnement génial comme langue. Pourquoi la norvègene chante t'elle plus en Norvégien ? :)

Kjempefin sangstemme. Hun virker så utrolig jordnær og søt.

Yeah, this is probably her best entry (except maybe "Do re mi", even though she technically only was a backing singer there).

Great perfomance by the lovely Anita Skorgan.
Now she is back with an Greatest Hits-album. Including 47 of her songs, included all her appearances in the Eurovision Song Contest.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
You can see miles away that she is almost heaving a nervous brake down.

Pretty gal, nice 70s style pop tune. It's better than a lot now trying to sound 70s.

She is really good

Just a fact , Anita Skorgan also did a 5th appearance as a composer in 1988 for another Norwegian favourite , For Vår Jord by Karoline Krüger
Rock010288 3 years ago
Actually she wrote the lyrics to that song, not the music.
setheurovision94 3 years ago
Was she also one of the backing singers for Karoline Krueger?
timonline2000 3 years ago
No, she was just the lyricist. And she must have been really satisfied, after all her tries, to come top-5 at last.
