4 x 8 Plywood and metal sheets are damaging the ocean But it's ok to sink ships & barges?? Imagine how much damage these cockbags did to the lobster population ripping out their homes and leaving them out in the open. WHY NOT BE HONEST WITH PEOPLE. YOU HAVE AN AGENDA: TO HELP THE COMMERCIAL LOBSTERMAN ASS RAPE THE SEA AND FUCK THE RECREATIONAL LOBSTERER... YOU'RE THE REAL CRIMINALS...
Arent these structures artificial reefs which create habitat for marine life? The only reason the government doesnt like this is because they cant tax the catch.
THESE DOUCHE BAGS HAVE PROBABLY NEGATIVELY IMPACTED THE LOBSTER POPULATIONS BY BEING IGNORANT TRYING TO HELP... THESE CASITAS WOULD BE VERY HELPFUL IN MAINTAINING BIG SPINY POPULATIONS!
Whats more damaging to all of us is the salary these waste of space marine enforcement police earn through taxing the crap of the florida residents.. The danger is only from "Un Permited" meaning someone didnt PAY FOR THEIR STATE PERMIT!!!! someone didnt pay their patronage to the masters.... and that broad is super fucking annoying...
So would it be illegal to move already submerged rocks into a formation suitable for a lobster habitat? Or would that be too "environmentally hazardous."
How are these habitats more environmentally hazardous than the bomb sites submerged by our own government? Or a 500'+ ship submerged for an artificial reef? Are you telling me that the ships were "properly disinfected" for "environmentally safe" submerging? Right.
This is a joke. Artificial reefs have been implemented for years to improve the habitat for marine life. Artificial reefs are benificial to all marine life and provide better diving for both the lobster diver and recreational divers. Tree huggers are killing the enviroment!
a much more responsible way would have been to relocate the lobster to one or more of the MANY preserves in the keys and keep a healthy breeding population. And dont tell us that the commercial fisherman are just good guys trying to make an honest living!!! the state gets paid by lobbyists who protect the commercial fishing industry so you have monetary interest in spreading that propaganda. how many hundreds of lobster is one boat allowed to catch in a day to scrape out a meager living???
how many lobster ended up getting eaten because you just all of a sudden took their shelter away from them? whether it was put there by man or natural, it WAS lobster habitat until you took it away. i know i saw at least one lobster with eggs and i wasnt looking for eggs. so now that lobster better find a vacant and natural rock quick before it gets eaten by one of the state's protected goliath grouper that are now becoming a SEVERE problem.
take a look at thier own footage,, the eco system looks just fine,,look at all the life around these objects, Big Brother .....trying to justify there taxation and enviromental expenses, I could understand if the objects shown were damaging. They need to be spending the money watching big OIL companys and how they damage the reef and fisheries.. instead of this crap.....
What a waist of resources! It looked like those artificial habitats were suiting the lobster just fine. And personally I think recreational bug divers deserve the catch more than the commercial lobster fisherman, who sells his catch cheap to market where it is then sold at a huge markup making supermarkets and seafood dealers richer and the consumer poorer! Is PVC and sheet rock more of a pollutant than a relic warship? I think not. I don't support dumping any material into our oceans.
Acutely many of the wrecks were put there as artificial reef for the marine life, it is just the diving community that pays the money to dive these wonders that allow them to be added, all of these wrecks are cleaned and prepped, not just dumped overboard. Now I can see making use of the idea the illegal hunters have used to help improve the number of lobsters out there
Born and raised in florida, been diving since i was 12yo. I think only Floridians should have a license to lobster. Way too many people come here to get our bugs
