@Airborneboy506 Well actually, in 1942, the bayonets were reissued after being refurbished and cut down- however some were left long and were popular in the pacific.
my garand is also a late war, but it lacks those all important lock bar sights. going to the gun show sunday to try and find lock bars and to get more mags for my carbine
