Well I could hear similarities with Phantasm in the first song certainly, but I really struggled to notice anything similar in some of the other tracks.

Guess my hearing is not tuned into same frequency as Death Metal :-)

Incidentally, the intro to the Ozzy Osbourne song "Hellraiser" was ripped directly off some of the musical cues for Cenetery Man.

As a side issue, the lyrics to the song "Seven Doors Hotel" by "Europe" (remember them?) were direct refernces to Fulci's "Beyond"

The similarities are there, but it might be hard to hear. Like for instance Necrophagia's "Cannibal Holocaust" song, which is a down-tuned faster played take on the original theme.

I've heard the Europe song, and know about the reference. Pretty bizarre that they actually have a song about The Beyond.
