Is anyone thinks it could be possible to approach a sound like the octane 3 but with using instead a set composed of the "johny octave" and a "big muff" ? (or maybe an other fuzz)

@Poiredeb depends on the big muff. the russian pi would probably do the job without all of the wierd oscillations (unfortunately). and, don't think that im plugging zvex here, but the fuzz factory and the johny octave could definitely do it. (even the oscillations, if you lower the stab on the fuzz)

if you listen to muse- muscle museum live at glastonbury, at around 1 minute he does something like the intro, just as a sequence

Awesome pedal, to me the FF goes a little further. It depends on what you use it for. But to me the FF works better: I can get more flavors of fuzz out of it, and when I run through a delay and play with the stab, I get as stoned as a butterfly ;)

The FF is not an octave fuzz. It may do octave up on certain settings, but the Octane will do it better, and more reliably.

not at all. when i use my whammy with my ff, it gets really crackly. this is a lot smoother.

i always use ALL digital pitch shifters (ehx HOG, POG, whammy etc) before any other effect. Most pitch shifters have a hard enough time trying to track your playing and adding distortion just fucks the tracking to me.
