Until the documents(if there are any) are declassified and released to the public I cannot believe that torture has saved anyone's life. i would also like to add that the cia's policy in Afghanistan awarded up to 5k to anyone turned in for suspicion of belonging to al qeada. There are also cases where the people who were turned in were abducted by people who just wanted money. Any psychologist will also suggest that under mental and physical pain, normal people will admit to anything just to make it stop. Like i said before, 450 out of 775 of those people who were tortured were not charged with anything, which means they were innocent. I stand by my position. Torturing just brings the US down to their level. Many terrorists groups can then use the fact that we torture to recruit and fuel the fire of hatred. Physical torture is by no means justified in the grand scheme of things.
