VeritechSquad, the chinese made M14's are made of steel. But you are right, the quality control is lower and they wont last 6 years like a TM. One thing i do know about the AGM M14, is that the sling sucks because the hook things are made of pot metal.

a better test would be if you had put some distance between the coke can and the M14's muzzle. that way, the pellet can gain speed. then it would probably break through the can. (also you should glue the can down so that it doesn't move)

Just how does a pellet increase velocity AFTER it leaves the barrel? Ever heard of "muzzle velocity?" The instant a bullet leaves the barrel it begins to slow down.

Why? Because it has a higher ROF, and a 10 fps difference? Atleast the TM has a way better Quality Control, and will last you over 6 years stock. Plus, you get a much better stock and better materials. Oh, and all the metal used on the TSD/AGM/UTG M14's are cheap pot metal. LOL! pwned

Dude, the TM M14 is a beautiful replica, better than the echo 1 and TM M16, maybe your not letting it gain speed so its not going as fast as it can. Dont worry, your rifle is very good, better than most. Just take it to a airsmith and have it worked on....

I have a few questions.

I have seen someone with one of these at my field and it would have shot clean through both sides of a soda can with no problems. Why is it that this one can barely go through one?

My gas pistol firing at 280 fps can pretty much go through both sides and this one says 310-320 fps.

What kind of battery do you have in it and was it fully charged?

Also, can you take a video of it on full auto?

i didnt know there is a gas TM M14, but i saw one of the youtube video someone tested a gas m14. u might want to ask the owner of that video! TM m14 has both auto and semi.

The TM m14 is electric, with semi auto and auto. It comes in 2 colors, OD and wood (OD better IMO). The bolt sounds very good and realistic. If you are in the US, buy it from trinityairsoft.com, the best US price.

Cocking sound realistic??? Have you ever pulled the charging handle on a real M14? LOL. Now it does look pretty real when you work the bolt, but the sound is FAR from realistic. And yes, I indeed have an M14SA made by LRB ARMS...and one by Springfield.
