I was dreaming about this song this morning.I was hearing the beautiful piano and all in my dream. The first thing when I woke up, I had to come here to listen to it. I love Elton John. Thanks for posting this song. Thanks Elton for the wonderful dreams.

I believe in a future where there is no racial discrimination, where there is no sexual discrimination, where there is no religion, where the humanity is at peace with themselves as a species!!! I believe in a future where the human species comes together to help everyone and forget about petty differences and focus on helping each other as the same species, we are one!!!!!
i have always loved elton john he is a very cultured and talented artist and he is very happy with his new baby boy thanks elton for the beautiful music we love you
One of my favorite songs in high school. Thanks for uploading it. BTW, and lest we all forget, Elton may be the singer, but it's Bernie's lyrics that gives something for Elton to sing. Great vocals, but even better lyrics. Nonethless, great music that seems to no longer exist.
This is my favorite as well....i've been searching for it through all Elton's work....thanks for posting it....the chorus nails it....love this shttt, thanks again

@johnex3303 amen! we were all fans back in the seventies until it became cool to make fun of him. Levon and "Border Song" are my favorites of his. Just enjoy the music and stop hating you christian bigots and hypocrites! Christians are responsible for more hate, murder and destruction than any other religion and they do it in the name of Jesus which makes them the unnatural ones.Don't you people get that by letting gay men live in peace there will be MORE WOMEN FOR THE REST OF US?? Geez..
@vlunney Finally someone who gets it i dont give a shit about anyones sexual orientation but the more gay guys there is that means less competition for the straight guys over Women. Lesbians dont want us
@johnex3303 It's a shame we live in a country where you can get positive regonition for saying you don't care if someone is gay. Not to disparage your comment in anyway, but in this modern age, we should not even have to let people know we don't care. Because, sexual orientation really doesn't matter at all.

well since we are sharing memories I have one less tragic. my dad let me skip school to go fishing with him and this song was playing on the radio. to this day this song reminds me of all the good times with him and my brother while we were younger. neither of them are dead but the times where we would fish and joke are. goodbye childhood, wish i died then so i wouldn't have to deal with this adult shit.

Elton John is an absolute legend. This summer, my grandmother was nearing her time. While I was on the way to the hospital to see her, I heard this song playing on the radio, and I suddenly burst into tears. I thought of everything that my grandmother meant to me: her generosity, her cooking, her humor, and her absolute love for her family and her grandchildren. She passed that night. This song will always stir emotions of my grandmother inside of me, and I will always be her little man.
@letsnotuselogic i know exactly what you mean. when i lost my husband at age 31, i couldnt listen to radio or watch tv or anything enjoyable. when i was finally able to turn the radio on again, the first thing i heard was 'another day' by paul mccartney. i just started crying and had to pull over on the side of the road. i still get emotional over it (24 yrs later)

--God bless Elton John! The man single handedly transformed song airplay on the top 40. His songs were so good that the program directors couldn't chop them down. Many of his songs were 5+ minutes. THIS song hits 2:10 before it gets to the 2nd verse! Those of us who love the 'complete' recording couldn't have been happier. You da man!! : )
Except for the clothes; I hated the clothes I had to wear.....bell bottoms and paisley shirts sucked not to mention plaid pants.....was like a f''ing clown circus.

@Josh102780 this is a really good song...but to say he has more talent than any other artist is an overstatement

@Josh102780 so you forgot about aerosmith, guns n roses, queen, eagles, journey, boston, kansas, roling stones, CCR and every other band from the 70's on.

To dislike this song is disliking "Apple Pie", Chevy's", and "Baseball"...OMG
No, Elton wasn't born in America but he was embrassed by America and for those of us during his "Hay-Day" will do so until we meet agin in the next world.
Elton...YOU be the Man...I don't care what anyone says you provided me and the world with some great music that penetrates into the mind, sould, and heart.
Thank you for doing so...

@SuperLiftRick AND, to dislike this is also disliking The Band and Levon Helm, after whom this song is named.

well since we are sharing memories I have one less tragic. my dad let me skip school to go fishing with him and this song was playing on the radio. to this day this song reminds me of all the good times with him and my brother while we were younger. neither of them are dead but the times where we would fish and joke are. goodbye childhood, wish i died then so i wouldn't have to deal with this adult shit.
