I waited in front of the theater to see this film on the opening day. I have loved the Rocky movies so much, but I must admit I did not expect much. I felt they had taken these movies as far as they could possibly go. I am HAPPY to admit that I was WRONG. This movie had the same spirit as the first!! This was the perfect way to end the series, and I am glad they didn't leave Rocky 5 as the last film. This movie gave you that energized and motivated feeling that no other movie could.

I've seen all of the ROCKY movies on TV (never saw any of the originals @ the movie theaters; my first movie I saw on TV of this series was ROCKY III on HBO back in, I believe, in '83 when I was 8 years old). I saw this @ the movie theaters w/ my wife when it was released, and as Rocky leaves the ring and the ending fight theme began playing, my eyes began tearing up, esp. when he raised both his arms up as he acknowledges his fans one more time.

I read Sly Stallone always does all the Rocky scenes for real. Think there is a lot of the real Sly in Rocky. He came from the poorest background, just like Rocky, and built himself up into the star he is today. He writes the Rocky scrips himself, and seems a kind man. Just like Rocky!

From 2:30 onwards it is excellent!! The look on "Rocky"s face, when he gets up to face Dickson" is priceless.

IF it were real, and IF it was truly a fight, the look alone would be enough to "scare" the opponent. Say what you will about Stallone..... he has created a character that will live on, through to my great great grandchildren.

I thought it was great that the series ends just like it began. Rocky proves to everyone that he can go the distance against superior fighters in part 1 and 6, even though he didn't win. Everything comes full circle. Love it.

Rocky went out there and gave every ounce of strength in his spirit, heart & soul to win. The outcome of both matches in both movies are the same: Rocky came out on top, silenced the critics and haters, & won the respect and admiration of everyone around him. To quote Mickey, "I don't care what the hell them judges said, (Rocky) is the man who won the match."
