  • can any one tell me wat the red is on here hands pls...

  • i love the outfit, especially the bottom part. It looks like a fan.. :O

  • this is truly beautiful.

  • This dance is exquisite and beautiful!

  • Wonderful. Thankyou for sharing.

  • I love her facial expressions!!! It looks as though she's having so much fun!

  • Su rostro muy expresivo y sus movimientos e xtremadamente elegantes. Extraordinaria!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • you are too good girl i just cant be without appreciating you! hats off

  • Absolutely beautiful - poise, elegance, poetry in motion. Obviously the product of passion, dedication, discipline, and countless hours of practice, pain, frustration, and joy?

  • has she completed her senior exam?

  • i love how her movements are sharp and clean..something i need to work on myself lol

  • i have never seen a dancer more elegant than harinie.simply stunning...

  • wao i can't believe that she have 11 years old

     waoooooooooo

  • very good

  • whooaaaa.... this is just so beautiful O_O

  • this is very touching.....i am a bharatanatyam dancer myself... and i understand how much hard work must have gone into this performance!

  • The musicians are wonderful too, what I really meant was that the recording quality of the music could be improved upon with better recording equipment.

  • Exceptional dancing. The girl is amazingly flexible and such a delight to watch. The recording of the music however needs to be improved. The sound comes in scratchy and lacks clarity.

This diamond of a dancer should be set against jewels of her high standard.

  • After seeing this, I could feel how rich is our culture.Great dance..

  • I love this dance just amazing! Great foot work.

  • She's very fluid and has precise movements. I like it :)

  • This is more professional than in the Bharatanatyam items on DVDs at GeeDVD*com !

  • @goldensalangai

Your notions of what is "professional" and what is not will change if you watch a few hundred dancers on

    W W W . D A N C I N G I N D I A . N E T

  • @archu00007 Thank you for the suggestion.

  • @goldensalangai your wrong

  • This is really cool. I don't fully understand or know everything about this particular style of dance, but I'd like to learn more. LOL Like Zeppelin, I had to listen about 10-20 times to unravel it's awesomeness.

  • very skilled

  • I hope to see this on DVD at JayQ(.)org one day soon

  • wow!!! beautiful!!!

    aum nanmah sivaya

  • @sidsthirdeye

    "om namah shivaaya"

    nanmah translates to goodness.

  • oh no! her skirt fan came loose is the first part of the video. haha it just couldn't withstand all that awesome footwork! =)

  • when she is still, you can see her agitated non-controlled breathing.

originally dance students were trained in the art of breathing meditation and energy management through breath

  • amazing dancing

  • Soooo beautiful! I want to learn this dance!

  • who cares if indonesians are claiming this dance. all ancient history is theory. or mythology. 1 schizophrenic could have made up this entire dance while suffering from heat stroke. it wouldnt matter, would it?

  • greaaaaatt!!!

  • It doesn't get any better. Frankly, everything I was taught for 6 yrs is boring in comparison

  • this ancient and amazing dance was stole by stupid INDONesian and change it's names to TARI PENDET.. and right now Indonesia try to claim this amazing dance as their official dance and ONLY CAME FROM indonesia.. what a shame..

  • The Indonesiam form is not exactly the same and therefore their adaptation IS Indonesian. They belong to the same cultural family as India. What does it matter?

  • An amazing portrayal of Shiva! You bring such life and energy to the dance, Harinie, not to mention a unique energy. Thank you!

Is there any way someone could fix the problem with the video around 5:32. It stalls there and it would be nice to see more.

  • magnificient looks.graceful movements. pl send/post videos on different themes

  • energetic dance

  • her hands and facial expression is very smooth :O so amazing! I tried doing my hands like her and it feels like I haven't done exercise for three months :(

  • WOW magnifique...es ce que ill a un dance comme ca pour les hommes?

  • Cette dance n'est pas seulement pour les femmes, il y a des hommes qui dansent le bharatanatyam aussi

  • YES, there is a dance like this for men. Slight sytlistic variations but men do this Bharatanatyam.

  • Oui. Les hommes peuvent danser bharatnayam. Le style de tandava en bharathnayam est tres forte et masculin. Bonne chance!

  • Beautiful!!!

  • Wow! SHE IS SO GORGEOUS.XX

    REALLY IMPRESSIVE DANCE"

  • She is obviously impassioned about her dance. Superb body-language, perfect hands and feet, not merely gymnastic tricks, one gets the feeling that she is completely absorbed in her dance.

  • She is good! She reminds me of a young Yamini Krishnamurty.

  • wow shes goodddd

  • her aramandi is amazingg

  • I can watch this girl dance all day. She is so beautiful... I cant take. Girls in america suck!!

  • REMEMBER that America is a melting pot of various cultures so the way we dance has no tradition persay( We have created many dance's but again their not tradtional).

    Kepp it up

  • simply divine...

  • She is perfect. I love her dance.

  • Super Super !!

Every pose looks like a statement for me. beautiful.

  • My god shes wonderful! What kind of stretches or warm ups she do to get so flexible? I'm working on trying to be as flexible as her during dancing. But I have no idea was to what to do to increase my flexibility in the area's she does. It would be lovely to know how she's so flexible! She's simply fantastic!

  • i think yoga wpould help a lot

  • start by simple stretches. (quads etc.) enter into the right split and then left split. (it is easier to hold them longer if you're listening to music/the stretch should be slight discomfort not excruciating pain/do these stretches every day maybe 5 min each) then google "scorpion stunt" and practice holding that. also... kick your legs (front back side) to increase how high your kick will be.

  • WHOA

  • Pure BEAUTY! Thank you so much! You are an incredibly beautiful artist!

  • Super!!! It's beautiful ! Thanks:)))

  • thanks. :)

  • absolutely amazing...never seen anything like this ever.

  • in order to dance classical indian dance is it required that you have long hair.always wondered<3

  • It is not required to have long hair. Some dancers actually grow out their hair but others use a braided attachement to make their hair longer.

  • I am a novice about Indian Dance I wish i can find a book to learn about varous forms.

It must require a lots of concentration Superb

  • omg! harinie!! ur awesome! esp all the poses u did!! 1 think i really enjoy seeing is tat u maintain ur aramandi thru out! i have seen all ur videos and not missed even 1 of them. :D
