Because I work in the education field- because I know that boarding school costs upwards of $15 000 per child per year to work.
Where does that money come from, should the government introduce mandatory Military school for all students. Keeping in mind that the only way Military school REALLY works is through boarding.

As for the brat camp, it is actually an extension of basic boot camp that all Chinese children must go through. Myself through 2 weeks of it at the beginning of 7th grade. Unless you have a condition that nobody is informed off, you are not in any danger at all and the training will instill disciplines. Remember, these children who got sent to brat camp pretty much all have some serious disciplinary issues, sometimes in the army will hopeful straighten them out.

In other words, reform school is a lesser form of juvenile detention center.

There needs to be a middle ground between physical beating and reforming a child. Beating a kid is not going to teach them to change for the better, it might just make them bitter and even more rebellious. I think that besides "brat camps " the parents should take classes on how to raise their children. A lot of children probably have abusive parents in the way of neglect of rules or verbal and physical abuse.

My son had trouble with "government" education in the US. He learned differently than others. He would have been left behind had it not been for his guidance counselor and me pushing the teachers. He is now in the USAF. The US needs more understanding that not all children learn the same way, and just because a child learns in a different way, it does not make them "bad".

I think that besides "brat camps " the parents should take classes on how to raise their children. A lot of children probably have abusive parents in the way of neglect of rules or verbal and physical abuse.
Disciplinary camps that use physical violence is not good for children.

@AGreyWarden I disagree. I think in America, there is a bigger problem with parents not using discipline enough. Of course there is a line you don't cross, but parents are too easy on their kids. Physical discipline works! I have a ton of friends who's parents are hard asses, sometimes they even seem over the top, but their kids are doing extremely well! They aren't all going to harvard or anything like that, but they are really making something of themselves! And they are good kids.

Being physical with your kids only gives them the message, that using violence is a great way to solve problems which could not be furthur from the truth. Parents should be easy on their kids, because kids should have to fear their parents or anyone in that matter. Most of todays serials killers had parents that were physiclly abusive towards their children like yourself, and that just goes to show how it is a dredful thing to do.
