  • terminal 3 ?????????? ha ha aha ah ha that is 1d

  • This is not even terminal 3!

  • it's not the rain, but the fire sprinkler pipes.

  • its really very bad

  • this is terminal 1d not terminal 3

  • my brother went to delhi recently through the much hyped T-3. He says that there is nothing extra-ordinary about the building. All his baggage was drenched in rain water as the tunnel leading to the taxi area was water logged.

  • Its an interim terminal ,but things would have averted !!!

  • this is the power of bribing

  • It's a temporary interim terminal #LOL

  • WOW!!!!!!!!!!

  • OMG ur so weaird dude call my house after work have more to tell u

  • yeah, trust these bastards to find a reason for unsafe and unacceptable work !! was not designed to handle heavy winds, huh? thats like somebody telling me that my toilet was not designed to handle a big shit !! SIMPLY FRICKING AMAZING !! YEAH, INDIA'S SHINING..THAT SUN WILL SHINE THRU THAT OPEN ROOF WHEN THE RAIN STOPS !

  • no buddy papers nahi saade truck di tarpaal

  • i think indian politicians ne ek ek makan airport ke budget me c banwaya hai es liya roof k liye paise kam par gai the

  • I think papers are used to cover the shed of airport..................

  • I should add that the private companies don't design the buildings, they hire other companies to do so. For T1D it was Hafeez Contractor, which is Indian as is GMR and they did not according to them, design the terminal roof to handle severe wind which allowed the top portion to blow off and let rain water in. T3, the new one, is designed by a very internationally known company, HOK, and I think it is safe to say these issues will not come up with that terminal ever.

  • @kap3150:

Who told you that the airport is $1.93 Billion? The Terminal 1D cost GMR around $120 Million (including the 5 years maintenance contract).

This is a private airport. All airports in India have been privatized, with the government only with-holding security and emergency services.

The army and paramilitary personnel must have stayed back, expecting the private maintenance department to take action. After all, this is the first time they are working in such a mixed-role environment.

  • @pogularocky

The first part is correct and GMR has control of IGI untul 2026. Not all airports in India are privatized, only 5 so far with other private airports to come up soon. The five are Bangalore, Hyderabad, Delhi, Mumbai, and Chennai. AAI, the government aviation organization controls all other airports 100% and with the private airports they provide emergency services, ATC operations, all immigration security and a few other things, but all other staff is part of the private company
