Maynard was about 77 years old. We should all be able to walk at that age, let alone play anything near like Maynard.

Like MikezOr I also saw this tour at about the same time except here in CT., Mr Aguilars tone was about as close to Maynards as I've heard. It seemed on this final tour that Maynard was in great health, played excellelent and was really enjoying himself, it came as a sad shock to hear of his passing.

i saw Maynard play here in NY on this same tour, and Serafin was such an amazing player. all of them were of course, but as a trumpet player looking at other player's styles, Serafin had it down. simply amazing.
