What Frank Frazetta did for Conan James Bama did for Doc Savage.
I would love for them to make a really great movie but only if someone really put their heart into it, I have no idea who would really be good for the part but since I grew up with Bama I always imagined Doc having a facial profile that would be almost a combination of Clint Eastwood & Johnny Cash.
Je lisais toujours les livres de Doc Savage à l ' école , c ' étaient les meilleurs ,mais j 'ai détesté la version cinématographique française de Doc Savage , Ils l ' ont fait ' zozotter ' comme un abruti !
My Dad was a WW2 bomber crewman who later earned his MBA ...
His FAVORITE books growing up in the 30's USA were all the Doc Savage, because he said Doc was just a human who made himself into what he dreamed a man could be. No magic, bionic parts, chemicals, or special alien DNA added other than believing and trying to adopt skills in a mighty way, until one seems super-human to most wannabes. ;-)
Salutes to you xena, and Kenneth Robson, and the Savage in 'EVERYMAN', and woman, and so 5*!.
Nice video I would Love a good adaptation of Doc Savage,as for James Bond ripping off Savage we are dealing with the Hero Archetype and all heroes are related. Would Doc Savage be ripping off Hurcules or Gilgamish??
"My name is Doc Savage, why is my muscles so big, even though there's no gym in the jungle or the desert, it doesn't make any sense, oh well I'm just glad to have my torn-shirt reveal my schwarzenegger muscles"
Great video! Just came back from the La Plata (Missouri) Doc Con 3 (in Lester Dent's hometown). Fans of Doc Savage check out the "Flearun" on Yahoo Groups

Shane Black is working on a big budget adaptation as we speak- and hopefully it will not suck.

Doc lives in New York and when he's not home he uses Isotonic Training
Isometric Training to exercise his muscles, it was mentioned in the books.
xenawannabe 3 years ago
So what does that do exactly? does that make you bodybuilder-muscular? Just curious!!!
Deader87 3 years ago
There are 600 muscle engines in any body. Doc Savage went into training early - the results are obvious.

It is sad that Hollywood can not do a serious treatment of Doc Savage, a serious treatment that its author and fans deserve.
timharbert 3 years ago
Don't worry buddy, Doc is such a popular & iconic hero. I'm sure they will make a good film-adaptation sooner or later

There seems to be several original works of art (the last picture, for example). Are those by you?
Did you check out my Bantam book cover videos (in three parts)?
