i have a 1996 328is, and need a more agressive sound. so i live in northcarolina, do you know if doing that would pass inspection, and what all did you do?

@96e36 i doubt it would pass inspection as i have removed the catalytic converters which control emissions.

All i did was take the resonators and cats out and in their place put two large glasspacks.

Then i removed the rear muffler and replaced it with two pieces of pipe.

then after this video (in my new ones) i have replaced those pipes with a $30 ebay muffler and it sounds pretty good
