@2010jeremyr09 heya,, i guess i tried explaining it in the video.. i only use the chords to play the song.. but some of the extra little picking things are just patterns and arpeggio type things.. its really nothing complicated and would be something natural and different each time i play it ^_^
well I can't read tabs nor chords, Im not too well at picking and I'm getting better at strumming! lol idk, I think I'm completely lost, thats what I get for going from drums to guitar
well, what exactly are you having trouble with? do you know how to read tabs/chords? do you know how to look up tabs online? i posted a couple *chord* instructional videos on here as well you can check out. are you having trouble with picking or strumming patterns? singing while playing?
Great lesson man, and a kickass Ovation. Which model is that one? I have a 6778 LX Elite and wouldn't trade it for any Martin or Taylor on the market today. I hate that they have seemed to have fallen out of favor over the last couple of years. Keep up the great work!
yes , this is standard tuning~ the whole song is basically just G , D , C.. with the exception of the chorus ~ very simple song and great for beginners! yet still an excellent one to play even as you progress
I just started playing guitar a few months ago and I have to say that your video is by far the most helpful video I've watched, you're awesome man, you have a great voice and a sick guitar! definitely 10/10.
Twas nice of you to take the time to hook people up with some instruction. Although to you and me stuff like the Cadd9 tidbit seems obvious or we just do it naturally, a lot of people don't know that, including those that tab out songs often times.
This is cool. I've been teaching myself guitar the past few months. Definitely some cool tricks like using C add 9 instead of the standard C fretting. I might figure out how to play it on the guitar, but I'll never be able to sing like you!
thanks!

Great tutorial! Like how you let us discover our own strumming pattern instead of me trying to mirror yours throughout.
