Satirical as it may be, it's not too far from the truth. I used to be a "top seller" for a major bank--got invited to attend a dinner with the Sr. Execs-- overheard the pres say, "We need to figure out how to gouge more customers."

@bendertl31 When I opened an account, I asked whether it was possible to overdraft my account at an ATM machine with my debit/ATM card, and an assistant manager at the bank told me it was impossible. Yeah, right. I checked my balance, the ATM said I had money when I didn't, and I ended up having to pay $600, now I've got a bad mark on my record and they're telling me I can't open an account in 7 years.

I've always gotten my money out without a receipt... to save the trees.... and... are banks, like, really trying to screw customers?!!? what about the law, aren't there laws to prevent that? and method of imposing that law?!?! :(((
