  • what antenna u driving it with? or u on the dummy load?

  • your dosy is junk as they all are. the drake l4 will do at best 1400 on 10 meter.

An 8.3 maul would key you out with ease on the same antenna setup. Can you say amatuer.lol...

  • If there is one thing I HATE are these "C.B.er's" who are all about power! They don't even know what power is!

    Dumb rednecks... sad.

  • umm why no lightss? cant seea thing

  • Idiot. It is giving you a wrong reading. VSWR must be 1 to 1

    CB er deluxer

  • Another illegal operator waiting to get busted.

  • I wonder what fool wasted his money on this amp......and how long it took him to realize,he got SCREWED!

  • 4000 watts @ 400:1 swr

  • The L4/L4B is biased for SSB operation and the light weight power supply will only allow a maximum output of about 1300 watts PEP .

  • The Drake L-4 or the L4B will only put out approximately 1200-1300 watts maximum.

Your watt meter is definitely little better than a wild guess.

  • Driving the L4 with that much power will break down the tubes and possibly fry the power supply. thats a great amp dont abuse it and it will last a long time.

  • BS, A DRAKE L4 WON'T DO 4000 WATTS MY FRIEND! YOU NEED A NEW METER REALLY BAD! The BS is DEEP here! hahaha
