alright.. so it seems it auto uses the max length width and depth to make the domain a cube... So although my tutorial is accurate in saying that you can use any object for the domain but the domain is not going to be dynamic as its original state. If you would like your liquid to turn into the shape of an object you would need set your fluid to the shape of the object in question. Hope this helps :D

How come when I try to liquify a cube inside a sphere, the domain appears to be a cube as well after it is rendered? :/

@adjordan2184 as in your domain is a sphere or your obstacle for the liquid is a sphere.. im looking into this as i type
