You should know early in a conversation, that you don't agree, and go your separate ways. Nothing is ever accomplished going back and forth for three pages or more. I don't know who you talked to or what kind of people you met that suggested that simply reading the bible could pull anyone out of sin. Luke 4:6-10 The devil knows the bible. For the argument that asked "So what if it is a choice." That fits within the scope of religion there are so many contexts to address that with. Within the context of my own religion it means they are perfectly capable of altering their actions to avoid the commision of sin but thats just my own. They'd hinder reproduction which Darwin deemed absolutely essential for the survival of the species it increases risk for Diseases. The purpose of sex is to propogate the species. That isn't happening in gay sex. With all the research being unable to find a congential cause, and a lot of statistics pointing toward "its a behavior," it seems that gays themselves, though they preach differently, don't really know how they got to be the way they are. Saying, "I was born that way-you're not even gay, so how do you know?," doesn't really cut it with someone who's done even a little homework. HOW do YOU know? No one else does.

I am straight I remember when I choose to be straight. Actually I had gay experience with my friend when we were ten but after I was told boys should like girls and that it was the right way to go then it wasnt hard for me to switch my attraction to girls instead. But of course if someone told me that homosexuality was right then I would be able to switch to men just as easily.
Its really not about birth or choice. It's about attractions. Everyone has attractions/preferences. If you like apples, then you will eat apples. If you like bananas, then you will eat bananas. If you like both then you will eat both. If you like neither one then you wont eat either one. You can like something, but you can decide to eat it or leave it alone.

I don't know who you talked to or what kind of people you met that suggested that simply reading the bible could pull anyone out of sin. Luke 4:6-10 The devil knows the bible. If someone wants help getting out of their sins they must first make jesus the lord of their life and be willing to stop that sin. For the argument that asked "So what if it is a choice." That fits within the scope of religion there are so many contexts to address that with. Within the context of my own religion it means they are perfectly capable of altering their actions to avoid the commision of sin but thats just my own. I find the fact that Darwin's theory doesn't support it as even more proof (Though I don't believe in evolution) I've looked at Dawkins who had theories for exceptions but they were pretty sketchy.

@ScienceReasonBelief Darwin. Genetics for homosexuality can't play a role in a pristine model of Darwinian evolution because they'd serve no purpose. They'd hinder reproduction which Darwin deemed absolutely essential for the survival of the species it increases risk for Diseases. Evolution is supposed to be geared towars survival. so natural selection would eliminate any traits or genetic components that caused it. The entire genome is already mapped. No gay traits. Choice.

The purpose of sex is to propogate the species. That isn't happening in gay sex. With all the research being unable to find a congential cause, and a lot of statistics pointing toward "its a behavior," it seems that gays themselves, though they preach differently, don't really know how they got to be the way they are. Saying, "I was born that way-you're not even gay, so how do you know?," doesn't really cut it with someone who's done even a little homework. HOW do YOU know? No one else does.

Actually I had gay experience with my friend when we were ten but after I was told boys should like girls and that it was the right way to go then it wasnt hard for me to switch my attraction to girls instead. But of course if someone told me that homosexuality was right then I would be able to switch to men just as easily.
