Yankee fans, whether frontrunners or not, have always been there. Red Sox fans on the other hand, I recall going to Angel games against Boston in the late 90's and there weren't many Red Sox fans at all, now you can't even tell who the home team is. Maybe you can't tell in New England, but the rest of the country knows it

Yankees games in Toronto are insane. I don't know about Red Sox games. I went to a Boston-Toronto game last September, the only sustained Boston cheering was when Jason Bay came up to bat.

True Red Sox fans, especially those born ans raised in New England, have stayed with the Sox through thick and thin. We didn't jump on any bandwagon in 2004. Of course we were happy when we won it all in '04 and '07. Of course we went wild. Any true, faithful fanbase would after waiting 86 years. I root for both whole-heartedly. One's in the NL and the other is in the AL so they don't play each other often (which is good for me) but when they do play, Go 'Stros.

the last game i went to was Boston @ Toronto, and there were many Red Sox fans, but I didn't talk to many of them for it was not worth it
I don't hate the Red Sox, but I surely dislike them BIG TIME.. Them and the Yankees, but these guys are in our division here in Toronto.

Yankees games in Toronto are insane. I don't know about Red Sox games. I went to a Boston-Toronto game last September, the only sustained Boston cheering was when Jason Bay came up to bat.
Bandwagonning in Canada is pretty bad though. It's not just Yankees/Red Sox, wearing any team's baseball cap seems to be a fashion statement.
I could be considered a bandwagoner for liking Seattle, and liking Toronto as a 2nd team, but it's because I enjoy watching them, not because of their success.
