  • Needs bells.

  • Hearing this? Alright, you have two choices.

One, see if you can fix the problem.

Two, go back to the start of it all.

  • This song reminds me of my mothers funeral:,(

  • @HyperHerpDerp Sounds horribly sad... im sorry for your loss

  • im breathing so heavily now what the fuckkkkk

  • I need surround sound so I can play this all through my house on December 20th.

  • See you on December 25th guys. =P

    Silly gooses.

  • @LegendaryZeldaGirl Grooses*

  • Dawn of the 5th day.

359 days remaining till the world stays in it's perfect shape.

Seriously, even NASA confirmed 2012 wasn't going to happen!

  • @kingvideogames Nasa is full of shit... Do you believe everything they tell you?

  • @TheLinkys

NASA is an organization of people who mostly have Phds, many who study space and the cosmos (the whole end of the world is supposed to be coming from space) and NASA confirmed that there is no Planet X, no Nibiru, and that a planetary alignment is harmless. NASA > Any single person with or without a Phd in Cosmology, Astromony or Astrophysics (in regards to all things space and cosmic).

  • @DanieltheSkeptic I'm not saying There Retarded. They are the most intelligent people possibly on the planet... I'm saying That There Full of shit. If there was a planet heading towards earth in a crash collision you think they would tell the public? There would be havoc, chaos, crimes, riots. They know this because even if that was the case were would we go? We can't live on a spaceship full of thousands of people millions BILLIONS. Case being Don't trust Nasa on These things.

  • @TheLinkys

I'd like to mention someone whose name is Clyde Tombaugh. Man discovered Pluto. A long time ago. Using an amateur telescope. NASA is an organization of Scientists. They know, perhaps better than anyone, that keeping it a secret is stupid, as anyone with an amateur telescope should be able to see the planets. NASA doesn't fail to mention Apophis do they? (Big asteroid that might hit Earth in 2036) Point is, there is 0 evidence of any "end of the world" coming soon.

  • @TheLinkys Yes we can just like in WALL-E

  • @TheLinkys Well, they've been right the last 3 times nutcases like you have said something from space was gonna kill us :)

  • @kingvideogames Dude, the fucking Mayans, the guys everyone turned to as the doomsayers, confirmed it wasn't gonna happen!

  • Hell I am putting the Master Sword back in Before December 21, 2012 cute little kid running around with a blade and a deku shield with green tunic skirt hell yeah oh wait thats Ocarina..

  • Night of the Final Day: One Hour Remains (for me)

  • why did I stop playing this game? I need to fix that as soon as I beat the hero mode on Skyward Sword

  • @SMGG74 Seriously, after i beat Skyward Sword, i just collected all of my old Zelda games and started playing them.

  • @ThePenlessArbiter OMG, your comment made me almost cry. When you think about it, it's enough to make someone burst into tears and not be able to stop. The fact that we might only have one more year to spend with our friends and family..... it's so sad!

  • Idc what anyone says. Majora's Mask is the best Zelda game. People may not think it's as epic as the others. But it's really dark, complex, and emotional. It's also the most fun and creative Zelda game there is. Everything about it is so amazing. Best game ever too.

  • i have chills oMG

  • This sent countless chills up my spine.

  • This song is amazing. It makes you feel like the end is coming. But it also has a sort of "I am ready for whatever happens"

  • @OpieOperson This is what the captain of the Titanic heard in his head.

  • Comment removed

  • This is definetly the best zelda game.

  • @leo0the0saiyan Haiku?

  • @rom2014 You must really not know what a Haiku is...

  • @jpmac098 Can you tell me what it is?

  • @rom2014 It's a Japanese style of poem. It's a poem composed of 5 syllable lines, then 7, then 5. That was not a Haiku.

  • This is a song for scattering feet and rushed breath and eyes dried out of tears.

  • I'm buying an Ocarina of Time replica to play the Oath to Order and if that doesn't work, the Song of Time on December 21st, 2012. Some might call me crazy, but it's better to be safe than sorry.

  • @roguesquadron521 Dude... It's a game... Don't take it so freaking seriously.

  • @jpmac098 Relax man, I'm only joking! =p

  • @jpmac098 It is possible to feel sad about only a game, imagine, same with fear, where you get scared.

The same can go with movies and books.

  • @MrGmodlol61 Yeah but when you bring it into real life it's no longer about only a game.

  • @roguesquadron521 LUL awesome.

  • @roguesquadron521 If the 2012 theories had any logic or reason behind them, I'd understand.

  • @TheRE4Merchant You, my good sir or madam, have only listened to lunatics on the matter then. The Mayan Long-Year calendar says nothing explicitly about the end of the world in 2012, simply that a "cataclysm" will happen on the turning of the 13th Bhaktun. Let it also be shown that the Mayan calendar is for astronomy and has yet to be proven wrong, being far more accurate than any of our contemporary models.

  • @TheVerandure You're going to listen to some thousand year old hocus pocus over actual science and I'm only listening to lunatics? First of all, it's a CALENDAR. All they actually predict is the rise and set of the sun every day. Second, they never actually predicted anything. Third (And most important), at the end of their long calendars (which "predicted" 2012) they just started a new one and celebrated. Also, the prediction is based on the winter solstice, which only happens in 1 hemisphere

  • @TheVerandure ...and also, the Mayans themselves didn't think the world was gonna end, and if so, how in the f--- were they supposed to know? Ancient Chi? Star Charts? Some other mystical BS? Sorry, I'm gonna kick back and enjoy my day on the 21st of December 2012 while you're foaming out the mouth worried about the sun "lining up" with the Milky Way Galaxy. Sorry for the double post, but not a single soul should believe this BS.

  • @TheRE4Merchant Who said I would be foaming at the mouth. I'm simply saying that you've spoken to people who have no knowledge of calendar and that it doesn't say that the world ends in 2012. (The Long Year calendar also predicts eclipses and other astronomical anomalies, not just day and night).

  • @TheRE4Merchant I think everybody here is stupid for arguing in Youtube comments, but I'm okay with you because your username makes me read everything you write in the merchant's voice.

  • @deovalente Okay, the fact you get my username and most of my friends don't is instant redemption to me.

  • @TheRE4Merchant So. What are ya sellin'?

  • @deovalente I remember my jaw dropping the first time a saw the infinite rocket launcher. I remember after getting it back up it dropped again when I saw it cost 1,000,000 pestas.

  • @roguesquadron521 You ARE crazy.. it only works with the original D:

  • @roguesquadron521 I already have an Ocarina of Time replica.

    /set

  • @mjknlr The more the merrier, wish we could all have Ocarina of Time replicas and play both songs together. Perhaps we'll reset time or call the giants to save us all!

  • @roguesquadron521 I plan on getting ones as well and practicing the Song of Time... *Gulp*

(I don't believe in the End of the World BTW)

  • @8redcoins I don't believe the world will "end" per se, I just think something historically significant and life-altering will happen. Whether it's a physical or spiritual change remains to be seen. However, I'm still going to do it. Again, better safe than sorry.

  • @roguesquadron521 On what grounds do you believe that? Because some ancient Aouth americans stopped making a calender? Look up Grey explains' video on the matter.

  • @roguesquadron521 You know, there was actually a "Moon falling" scare about a year ago.

  • @TheHarlequinHatter

And soon, the moon will fall...

    72 hours remain...

    :)

  • @TheHarlequinHatter Really? Didn't know that. Got an article you could link me to? I'm curious now.

  • @roguesquadron521 Look up "Supermoon"

  • @roguesquadron521 LOL! Hahaaha, that made my year. lol.

  • @roguesquadron521 true dat

  • @roguesquadron521 lolololol

  • @leo0the0saiyan IF you really discovered youtube a moth ago then you must live under a rock, and I was just saying you said it wasn't copy paste. but it is.

  • @leo0the0saiyan nope i've seen this comment like months before you posted it, copypasta it is indeed

  • @leo0the0saiyan Stop copy and pasting like a bitch

  • the only thing that would have made this song better would have been if there were bells in the background... just to freak us out even more.

  • @rootbeer543 i wanna give ya a high five

  • Majora RULEZ :D

  • at december 21, 2012, 1 observatory see the moon aproching. the world is started gone crazy because the moon was falling down

however, Link come to the earth. this music it has started

people: Link, thank god y r here, please call the gigants!

Link:i'm too lazy to do other game wicht has an apocalypse there.

    *play the Song of Time*

    people:...FFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

  • Is it only me, or does anyone else feel their pupils narrow when they listen to this, as though to silently say: "OH MY GOD...!"?

  • @Thief8Bit

lol what a fag you are.

  • @SinSeared And what a dick you are.

  • Very beautifully sad music.

  • Link:Oh, 5 seconds left better play the song of time.

    Moon: Too late *****!

    Link: OH SHIT!

  • @SolidSnivy

You know that I ripped that quote from Spock's mindmeld in Star Trek 2009, right?

  • @gillnavisingh Believe me when I tell you I had no idea nwnU.

Sorry, I really thought it was just a self-made comment, and I just wanted to make my own version. Sorry, I didn't had idea.

  • @jeatstream15 I also saw the fall of Reach...

    The destruction of Cybertron....

I was there when Alderaan exploded...

I saw the moon fall over Termina...

But there wasn't worse tragedy than the Fall of Cloudsdale. The event marked the beginning of the End of Equestria. But what made it worse, is that the city's savior, Rainbow Dash, was the one responsible of the fall of the city, adn the death of the innocents...

  • THIS IS WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR!

  • Here come the Ponies.... the glorious reign of Ponies is arriving...

  • @TheFreemanVids And so Cloudsdale is no more...

  • @monkeyboyinc76 "Billions of lives lost... Because of me Twilight... Because... I failed..." ~ Rainbow Dash

  • @gillnavisingh You bro...just brought me tewars to my eyes. I'm making both a fanfic and a mod for certain game based upon MLP and Discord's escape, and that comment just fits Rianbow Dash as I pic her.

  • @jeatstream15 you forgot terra being destroyed

  • @jeatstream15 Beautiful! ;)

  • This brought tears to my eyes. Only 6 hours remain.

  • @jeatstream15 Well said. Most of those tragedies happened fairly quickly though. And most of the time the camera wasn't at ground zero XD

  • I'd love to hear this with the clock-tower bells included =D

  • @Deltaru Me too! :) I love this song!

  • When I hear this, I pictured a montage of all the lives Skull Kid screwed up, with Link hopelessly running around in desperation, trying to think of something, ANYTHING to stop the disaster. Such a dark game.

  • @TomSpitzy Welcome to one of the most underrated games of history...Majora's Mask...For me this is the best Zelda ever created...

  • School Tommorow, Grade 12 too..Had to do it

  • @jeatstream15 Reach?

  • @rolo4005 Hell yes.

  • This scares me.

  • This song gives me shivers......

    3 hours remain...

  • if we cant save the world. well be able to get the hero who can save it in 30 seconds lol.

  • Let's see... I've Saved a Princess, Purified the water, Brought back spring time, Reunited a band, Gave the Town hope, Helped some cute farm girls, Cleansed the Dead, Saved a girl's father, Freed the Postman, Unlocked the Giant's bonds, And reunited the lovers. TIME TO SAVE THE WORLD!!
  • @forceofnature26 imma use your comment as a check list

  • not to mention that this games creepy as hell like how link has mask transformations..

  • @20PINKluvr thats what makes the game so epic along with the cuteness of some characters and the humor :)

  • It's objective that MM is the darkest Zelda game. I mean, TP may have grimdark graphics, but MM has a much more serious story. It deals with the despair and fears of the NPCs and it gives you the feeling that it really is up to you and no one else to prevent the apocalypse.

  • @LouieDeNonno Agreed. I don't really think you could call TP dark, unless you were referring to the graphics. The story in MM is much deeper too. IMO, anyway.

  • I love how you can hear the signature bells in the background. :)

  • if Majora's were to be remade for 3DS... damn i'll bring down the moon myself.

  • @SktMew

You'll be pleased to know it's in the works :)

  • @Icouldeat100burgers Faling Moon with super ultra creepy scary face right away.

  • @Icouldeat100burgers They've begun working on it? Why haven't I seen this on any Zelda site yet, or my friend showing it to me. Are you sure it's already being worked on. As far as I know, they only have the whole Operation Moonfall organization to show Miyamoto the passion all the fans have behind Majora's Mask.

  • When I first played this game when i was like 5, the only thing that actually scared me was the zombies that circle that one girls house, and the moon's face. Now I come back to this game, and I now see how dark it really is. A lot of the characters in the game are just depressed. The one thing in this game that made me the saddest was how Cremia knew that they weren't safe at the farm and accepted that, but assured Ramona that they were safe.

  • So...moving...that's it, I'm starting over, and this time, I'm gonna kick this game's ass for being cruel (if you've played the game, you'll understand).

This game strikes me more as sad than creepy.

  • when i was younger after finishing ocarina of time and heard of majoras mask, i expected a zelda game like oot: friendly, beautiful, bright and what did i get? psycho, dark and wreird, its also legendary, but it made me shit in my pants!! :D this games look the same but there are totaly different

  • I feel like were gonna die tomorrow

  • @djosccom Yeah your quite right =).

I'm 12 years old and this game actually makes me a bit scared and kind of sad really.

There's an innocent town about to be crushed by a giant moon and they've done nothing wrong =(

The thing that scares me is that BEN story and the feeling that you get when you play this game...

  • Why the hell this game is rated E for Everyone I don't know...

  • @muffinthewitch cuz EVERYONE will love it

  • @muffinthewitch For an actual answer, I think it's because the darker and more gloomy parts of the game are subtle. When I played this as a kid, sure I knew the undead were dead folk and all, but I never once thought of why Gorman was crying, what really happened to the The Singer, nor the Leader, and the crying Goron baby was just a nuissance really. I played it again here not long ago, and so many things I'd never thought about popped into my head. So yeah, subtlety, I think.

  • @TausMunk

    Wait, why WAS Gorman crying?

  • @Marth1993 He left his brothers in order to pursue his dreams. That failed horribly when everything was cancelled, and iirc he cries over that nothing goes right in his life.

  • @TausMunk

    Thank you.

And yea, I think you make a good point about the 'maturity' of the game. But then again I think how you interpret the game is a matter of your own maturity as well. As kid, you see Gorman crying and you're just like 'aha goofy-looking guy is crying goofy-looking tears.' The dialogue has no impact. But when you're old enough to read into things, and you realize that the man has lost everything in his life. You begin to realize that the Skull Kid destroyed people's lives.

  • @Marth1993 Exactly my point.

  • holy crap, that has got to be the most moving soundtrack in gaming history 0_o

  • Heh, it's odd how the kids get left behind in the city during this time. Never understood why that was the case...

  • @zenophas It was prolly because they didn't want to scare the kids. They had a short time, and they thought they may as well let them enjoy their final hours while they lasted..

  • Majora's Mask: Fear without horror.

  • Does everyone know the backstory behind mm they're goiong to make a 3ds remake and after esrb saw the big E on the box art they were like really pissed so it has to be T now not E 1o like oot

  • @pnclegofan What?

  • WHy is this fucking song to fearful.

Excuse my language, I am just so confused about it >.>

  • @MarrickFait

From playing the game the moment that music plays its almost time for the moon to crash down (destroying the world). Somehow that moment always gave me a chill somehow. I know its a fictional game, but I really grew fond of the characters of Termina (the games world). That and the giants moon is VERY close to the ground by then lol

  • This game should NOT be rated E for everyone. That apocalyptic crap scared me as a child. > <

  • This song brings you mixed feelings... at first that feeling of dread, sadness, and then a stirr of encouragement. It's such an odd song, but so beautiful... Thumbs up if you agree.

  • hm.... we have to get the giants to help us at 2012.... darn....

  • My favorite thing about the song (in all versions) is the harpsichord (that's what it's listed as in the MIDI version of it) riff in the background. It's just like... 4 beats long but it really adds a lot to the song. But it's so quiet in this version.

  • its 5 hours not 6 hours

  • T.T when you compete the kafei quest this song is playing....it feels awful..but now you have to go back in time...

  • why am I crying?

  • @emucosmos It happens when listening to Zelda music. It's natural. c:

  • Isn't there a sound effect used with this music that they reused for the shiny portal-type things in The Wind Waker? I was swept with nostalgia when I got this game and heard it (since I played TWW first).

  • @UTAU53Yui yep

  • This reminds me of how depressing it was when I first experienced the third day, especially when Cremia and Romani are outside, then she declares Romani a true adult, then they go inside. During this, Romani is beaming with joy due to her ignorance of the crashing moon, then when she says "See you tommorow" to Link.

Just about broke my heart. And dont get me started on Anju and Kafei on the thierd day!

  • Thanks for the upload, but how about loading the same track with added bells up? ;D

This would be so damn powerful.

  • Consume... I will... Consume... Everything...

  • reminds me of playing this awesome games... i mean the whole side quests (gather all masks, etc.) and learning how the ppl change were just awesome.... these are the good old times ppl speak of and worth to remember

  • @baracudashadow Even to this day I'm still sometime playing this game and it's still as awesome as back then.

  • The postman, sending himself that letter. Anyone else know that feel?

  • I just started a Let's Play of this EPIC game! Come check it out if you want, I;d love feedback!

  • Wow. Words cannot tell of this -

  • so if we're suppost to die may 21st you all know what i'm going to be listening to my last hour <3

  • @attackxcheese were not dead... sorry

  • I'm going to play this at 11:00 PM on December 20th 2012 for 1 hour xD

  • @ericjraack Damn right! Me too. I'm serious.

  • truly amazing. out of any of the zelda songs ive heard, this one blows all of them out of the water

  • I gotta say it. Four people forgot to play the Song of Time. Lol! "We always think we have more time...then it just runs out." -Jenner From The Walking Dead.

  • 21.12.2012

    i listenig this sound

  • This is my favorite song in any Zelda game. It's makes you feel such emotion.

After I heard this song, every time I went into clock town and saw all the people, the men, the children, the women, even the dog, I felt so sad that they were all going to die in 3 days. I feel like playing this game I am saving their lives.

Maybe it's a little stupid to think of a video game as such an emotional experience, but that's what it is to me.

  • Titl: Hey look link at the moon

Link: Nah you don't say i have eyes you know

    Titl: "Gasp"

    Link: DON'T GASP ME B*TCH

  • this is so powerful, it really do feel like if i`m going to die in a few minutes. i suppose this is what you`l hear if you`re having a heart attack

  • @TheNinwii

nicely said, this will play in my head if we have the '' end of the world ''

  • this makes me proud to own the American and Japanese formats.

  • Personally, while I did not like playing MM very much, I still bought the game just so I could listen to this song.

  • @MrAnon05 Personally, you suck.

  • @gameaddict51 Why thank you very much.

  • @gameaddict51 well personally, you suck... that's my opinion, there's your opinion, and there's his opinion

    now let's move along

  • This ranks top on my list of most epic Zelda tracks, along with Ganon battle OoT and TP title theme. It is really amazing how you added in that choir in the middle.
