Gautama Siddhartha Buddha himself said "Believe in nothing. Whether you have read it somewhere, or if someone has told it to be true, or whether I have said it. Unless you have found it to be true via your own experience then it is false." Hindu are NOT Buddhists and Buddhists are NOT Hindus. Siddhartha was a hindu growing up but rejected while on his aesthetic path. This can be understood when reading the Diamond Sutra when he addresses two brahmanist men. Buddhism is the core essence of hinduism. Gautam Buddha was a HIndu, he picked up the pure essence of Buddhism..All hindus don't worship deities. Buddhisam is not the core essence of Hinduisam. In hinduisam the self, the Atman, o rthe soul is the utimate reality. In Buddhisam there is no soul, anatma or emptiness is the true nature. The essence of hinduisam can be seen in Advaitha vedanta where Atman or Brahman is nirguna ( attribute less)reality. It is true that Buddha was a hindu and the video music is the hindu Gayathri Mantra.

You are correct vl3tbol. It was Bodidharma who traveled to China, and brought Chan (Zen) Buddhism with him. Chan was considered radical, and even heretical within Buddhism at that time. Praise Bodidharma!!!

This is true prakash. Buddha warned against anyone 'deifying him' and worshiping him or making him into a god. He full well knew ignorant people would end up making a 'cult of personality' around him anyway, so he merely tried to minimize it through his later teachings.

Buddha was predicted 2400 years before He descended. He was Lord Vishnu's 9th main incarnation, despite never confirming this due to the state of minds of the people etc.
