Dad didn't like Mission: Impossible 4? NOOOOOO!!!!!!
Lol, just kidding, though I absolutely LOVED it. I thought the plot was solid and the characters all had good depth, and the action was GREAT. But I really loved it because I actually cared about the characters and the story. Haven't seen any of the others, but Battle: LA and Trespass seem awful.
There were (in my opinion), way worse films this year that Captain America and certainly M:I-4. Jack and Jill was DOGSHIT and so was Twilight. I thought M:I-4 was really good, and even though Captain America was goofy at times, it was still worlds better than the weakest of the Avengers Movies, that title going to Iron Man 2.
@TheNoodle97 Ya, I hated Green Lantern too... But I cut it some slack for the genre/demographic I guess; that is, I had higher expectations from something like Battle: LA. Didn't see your other 2! ;)
@GabnDad count yourself lucky, they were so bad. scre4m was stupid and felt like the movies that the original made fun of. rubber was stupid, boring and just crap.
I totally agree with your worst films. If we do a list, those three will be on our list as well. I didn't like 'Captain America' either and I wasn't crazy about 'GHOST' Love you and your dad's passion
Wow, I thought I was the only one that didn't really like Captain America! Not my worst, but did not live up to the hype and loving reviews! I thought the better parts were the basic training, and now that I think about it, it reminds me of 'Stripes'. The best part comes in goes in less than 20 minutes, and the rest is a train wreck. The actions scenes in CA, were akin to really nothing more than a long montage.
Oh Dad. Cap America and MI4 were both awesome. I didn't see any of the movies Gab mentioned. I was curious about Battle:LA but glad I missed it. Transformers 3, well you just have to watch my review on what I thought about it lol.
gotta disagree with Dad about MI:4 - I thought Brad Bird delivered a great live action film and Tom and Jeremy had some good chemistry - I enjoyed it. I will avoid some of the other you mentioned. Side Note - as someone who enjoys going to the movies for the big screen/good sound aspect and has a nice size TV at home, I wouldn't watch ANY movie on a plane on a 4 inch screen unless I'd seen it already. I avoid watching good movies on small screens with bad sound, not just bad ones.
Wow, I only saw two out of these six. Transformers and Captain America, and while Transformers would be on my worst list, I think Captain America would be on the lower end of my best films. :)
Love you guys but we are definitely on the opposite side of the coin here, LOVED Mission Impossible 4 DAD! Shocked by that! And thought Captain America was a great set up for the Avengers. But hey opinions make the world go round!
you can get a way with that joke lol ^_^ i love captain america it was the best (next to iron man) of the marvel movies for the set up for the avengers >_<
Great video! I havent seen The Rite or Captain America ... they just didnt interest me in what they had to offer in the trailers. I loved your comments on them! you both tore them to shreds! :) Awesome stuff, have a great 2012! :)
Dad bases his views more in context such as hype, expectations and comparison to other films in the genre. That's why he probably choose captain America as loads of good super hero films came out this year and last year leaving captain America as the mediocre meh superhero film. (although green lantern is worse imo, but this list is only the films they have seen)
and Transformers 3 I saw with my nieces and mom over the summer and they had fun with it. I can watch it with my nieces, but I won't buy it myself. (My mom already has though.) That's another film that was pretty forgettable and didn't really care for it afterwards. But if my nieces come over, I'll watch it with them for fun.
Great vid as always you guys. Hope you have a happy new year! :)
Yes, Trespass made this list!! That movie is truly a piece of dogshit. That one and Wes Craven's My Soul To Take were awful films I've seen in 2011. I saw The Rite on HBO a while back, and I didn't hate it as much as you did, but it's a pretty forgettable film at best. I have to respectfully disagree with Dad on Captain America being the worst of 2011 though. I had loads of fun with that one. Haha, yeah you drag him to The Avengers in '12!! LOL Trespass should be on his top worst instead! lol
Mission Impossible 4? Captain America? Dad must not have seen many bad movies this year. lol. But I don't think I have either. I could only say which were my 'least favorites.' I some-what enjoyed them, but they were overall forgettable: 3. Quarantine 2. 2. Attack the Block. 3. Winnie the Pooh.
Another great video. You guys are great. While we differ on some of the worst you guys have fun reviews. Totally agree on Transfomers 3 and the Rite.

2) Battle: Los Angeles
1) Apollo 18
