This Song was dedicated to our Brave Soldiers...when ever i hear it, i feel their Pain of Far from Home...Just for the shake of our Safety......GREAT...God Always Protect from all types of Worries n Give Tremendous Power to fight against each Odds...thnx...
master piece, TRUE CINEMA.. singers, actors, directors, story writers, lyricts, makeup artists anevery behind this master piece are true KLAKAR love these legendry voices. i imagine the day of recording of this song when all these great voices sang together love u Rafi ji and all respect to all legendry singers. hats off to all u who have this taste.
the real pain of a soldier. Talat Mehmood, Mohd. Rafi, Manna Dey were the real voice to say that pain. i am white but lived in india and learned hindi and urdu just coz i can understand the songs sung bye them and i have a large collections of LP records of old hindi movies. can not india prode singers like them again?
One has to admit Asia is in turmoil.....The two nations that can give us the respect and the integrity in this world of Western so called supremecy is China and India....................Lets get together and show this world what we are made of and what we can achieve................
Hanste jakhm. We can never forget those unsung heroes. Our immaturity led us to our fall in that war. May God! All fallen soldiers rest in piece. This song is a true tribute to them.
Shame India 5000 soldiers dead and still no one even cares. Forget the bloody war but how could you forget the dead soldiers. This song is a perfect tribute to all the soldiers. All of the actors in the song are unrecognizable just like all the soldiers who died.
This was all due to our honorable first Pm . These soldiers in real life had to bear all because of the Faulty Govt. and incapable Army chief B.M. Kaul
abolutely heart-wrenching piece .. tears fill my heart wenever i listen to it
unrecognition f Madan Mohan's supreme talent in his tym was a great loss to the then music industry ... i feel today's genration is more patient & open 2 music - whether it's English or evergreen oldies
Such A amazing song......... can imagine the sentiments of ol those army men.....my respect for ol our defence personel has grown.. us ne khabrake nazar lakh bacahe hogi.. awsum .................

After serving for 33 years in green uniform I can say that even song being 45 years the story of our many gallant soldiers might not be different.Think about those FOUZEES deployed in absolutely remote and far flung areas. STILL I M PROUD OF BEING A FOUZEE. LONG LIVE..........

I saw this movie while I was in the 4th grade (standard) @ King George High School) in Bombay (Mumbai) whle the Indo-China war wasgoing on. All of us cried watching the movie. If you understand the lyrics, very sad theme here. Great music by late Madan Mohan. The song still brings tears to my eyes.
just 10,000 Indian soilder fought 120,000 Chinese (80,000 regular soilder + 40,000 volunteir ) in 1962 indo-china war. this is not war but a suicide mission for india. Chinese need to treat a lesson in balanced manner
Its a beautiful poem by Kaifi Azmi. The original urdu poem is difficult to comprehend if you don't know enough urdu. This is simplified version of that poem.
If you want to read the original poem in Hindi, you can get it in this book "Hindustan Hamara: Vol I" by Jaan Nisar Akhtar.
thank thank u thank u thank thank u dude i was dyin for this song ;long long time i like it its been 4 years i was searchin this song and u uploaded it thank u v v much
Going by the glacial, barren surroundings of this location, I am guessing that this movie was shot in the unhospitable environment above the treeline which is 14,000' above sea level in the Himalayas. The rarified atmosphere aside, there is a stillness in all of the characters that you see in this song that is in stark contrast to the turmoil in their hearts. Masterful direction by the late Chetan Anand.
Haqeeqat (1964), reminds us about the tireless and fearless souls who always risk their lives to save our motherland from intruders. On the eve of India's 62nd Independence Day, we salute those brave spirits and will continue to do so till this Earth is alive in the Universe.
i am sorry Bhupinder too is good. quatret og rafi talai manna da and bhupinder just showed the real pain of a soldier
