  • What a man. Seriously, I don't know how he could even wake up the next day much less run like that. Gosh, amazing.

  • David is a wonderful, caring, amazing guy, if I was him and I just lost a family member to a brain tumor, I would not know what to do, but he still ran in the race in the memory of his brother, David, I love you, you are a amazing guy, my

thoughts and prayers are with you and your family through this difficult time.

  • That's horrible. I can't imagine how badly he felt, that right after they arrived in DC he was informed that his brother died. He's strong.

  • Great though heartbreaking video. Tommy showed a lot of class. Kudos.

  • thanks for sharing this, tommy. it's weird, even though i obviously knew adam had passed, my heart still skipped a beat just now when david said it. what a man.

  • Thanks Tommy. Just Beautiful and touching.

  • David Cook has a beautiful soul. To put his personal grief aside to honour his brother, the cancer survivors, and others that didn't make it through this terrible disease truly made it a race for hope. My utmost admiration for everyone else affected in some way by cancer.

  • I was there as part of David Cook team and want to thank you for posting this video and for your compassion, Tommy. David truly is amazing to have done what he did on Sunday and after receiving such devastating personal news, it's just so true to his character. His show last night in Athens, GA was incredible. He is such an inspiration.

  • this David Cook is an amazing guy!

that's why he gets tons of fans everyday!

It's not only his voice, his music, it's his golden heart that attracts so many.

    God bless you, DC!

  • I really thought I was over crying about this, but this video did me in.

  • David Cook is such an inspiration to all. Brave and touching to hear about his brother, Adam's passing. He must be very proud of David as are we all.

  • Tommy, thank you for putting together this great tribute to the Race for Hope. I also, was honored to be on David Cook's team, supporting him, his family and all others in attendance, by raising funds for a much needed cure for brain cancer. David showed incredible integrity & strength in getting through this day. He is a true champion to the cause and a true American Idol. Bless him & his family.

And yeah, we want to hear 'Come Back to Me' (again and again!)

  • Thanks for posting this Tommy. What an inspirational event! Those two guys who finished in 16-17 minutes were great. How sad that they should experience such a loss at so young an age. And wow, David Cook is pretty much amazing. I can't believe he had the strength and composure to get through yesterday with such dignity and class.

  • I wondered how he handled the race press before he gave the announcement --- jeesh, how hard was that. Glad you posted it Tommy.

  • wow, thanks for the video. I ran on David's team yesterday, and was so inspired by the courage and selflessness that he demonstrated by giving so much when he is suffering the loss of his dear brother. Now go play the hell out of Come Back to Me, ok???

  • thank you for posting this. Love hearing CBTM in the background. David is a brave, wonderful man.

  • Thanks for this video, Tommy!
