@Decktrio I made the same question before. Even more: I'd like to switch effortlessly between Plasma Desktop and Plasma Active with an event triggering the switch (for instance: when I turn the screen of my convertible and convert it into a tablet)
I really hope this is a Plasma Activity Profile in KDE, as KDE should be the base on any tablet that can handle the full desktop system.
You simply want KDE to recognize touch actions and a suite of plasmas to match.
I also can't see why mainstream linux can't get modules to do all the smartphones or chipsets drivers that tablets have, rather than make a whole fork and calling it Tizen/Meego.
Do you have profiles for people that use KDE/this (userbase profiling)? I cant imagine somebody does. At least you removed the widget rotation "feature":)
That said, the activities concept can be great, ofcourse generalized like "trip planning", "note taking", whatever the use case can be. I use multiple desktops on kde for ad-hoc activity organisation so that works, even with the activities concept.
The peek thing is nice:)
All in all a step in the right direction, congrats!
Ö.Ö i love it :) ... i dont have a tablet pc but i think it would be cool on my notebook :)

Does any one know about that tab.

Is this just for "pure tablets"? Or, can Plasma Active also be used with convertible tablet laptops?
Sorry if my questions is "dumb".

This is great, but any UX's more geared for smartphones yet?
Your interest/focus seems to be solely on tablets or larger.
MeeGo has sorely needed a far better UX experience...
If you guys can help boost that, along with Mer/Tizen, then all the better!

There needs to be more information on what tablets are best suited for Meego/KDE-Plasma-Active.
I would prefer Linux/KDE over Android.
