I think I would have opted for Bose at that Price Point, and consider the mess this set up will create with all those wires dangling around. Bose offer Superior sound in a small footprint. Im glad I have good headphones, they fit my bag easily. Those speakers weigh more than my MacBook Air, defeats the purpose for me. Dont need all that plastic with my pretty Aluminum Laptop.

I don't have this particular model but I do have one from 6 years ago, I swear that every single speaker has fallen to the ground more than 5 times yet they still work like a charm, also I have two pairs of budget logitech speakers which both sound fantastic. I now only buy logitech products because they're all awesome and well built.

I once made a synchronous test with my teufel motiv 2 subwoofer, you could feel the teufel kick in way earlier and with much more detail.

@Hinjima Sorry, really have no idea about the new one coming out. I've heard that the z5500d has been discontinued though, so be quick if you're going to get one. I'd estimate the computer to control pad cables to be 90-120cm but I'm really not sure either. Then the control pad to the subwoofer would be about 60cm. Hope that helps!

I have their trackball with my Mac computer. Now often I am getting a popup that I don't know how to remove that says Logitech on it with a Logo. This is a continual annoyance. This is in addition to its popup asking if I want to update the Logitech Control Center. I just wanted a trackball to use w/ my Mac; I don't want any "control center."

I think I got rid of it today after finally finding where in my computer the "daemon" was. Yes, Logitech rightly calls it a daemon. I sure did waste enough time on it. I phoned & got nowhere using their 800 number.

And I think I should give some more detail now that I have discovered more about it: this noise only occurs when running in digital effects like I was using optical on Dolby Digital, that's when it happens. But I have taken it back to the store and they have to send it back to Logitech to repair it or replace it... which will take around 14 days. ;(
