this was pretty cheesy, but still groundbreaking for back then. this really made Stone Cold a more vicious and realistic villain than wrestling usually gets. its kind of tasteless and unrealistic, but that was Attitude WWF.
I was only 7 when i saw this, let's just say i was a little frightened with the whole gun thing. Austin and Pillman were too real for professional wrestling. They were that good.
@TASDisBACK Oh, you give me too much credit. In fact, I'd never even noticed that until now. The clip is from a WWE DVD released in 2006, so I imagine they switched up the logos in the production of it.
lol..terrible. Just awful in every way. I actually think Katie Vick wasn't as bad as this.
Guns and wrestling don't mix. It's like when Austin did the deal where he dragged Vince into the ring with what looked to be a revolver and then the little prank flag popped out. That was funny, but still...it's way too fucking unrealistic. Try it, go grab an old man and stick a gun to his head in front of thousands of people. Never mind the cameras.
@tnarockshard You are going to need to explain that one because having an injured ankle has absolutely nothing to do with the spine. Unless of course he happened to fall and break something important he would only hurt his ankle by walking on it...Which he had no problem doing.
@Jessyleppert Fuck yeah! The Blonds were amazing! I have their entire collection of matches and promos... been meaning to upload some of 'em when I get the chance.
@uguess94 No, fucker. I'm well aware that wrestling is scripted.
But, why did the network get pissed at WWF for doing this, when it's totally something the network executives would do if someone was breaking into their own home!
@dstebbin what are you saying you dont put this kind of thing on a live tv show that the network cant review first what do you think any taped television show gets run in front of the network and FCC before it gets broadcasted you cant do that on a live tv show you fucker you obviously are a fuckin idiot that doesnt even know what hes talking about.
@uguess94 Uuuh... hello! You're the one who started cussing at me!
And yes, that's EXACTLY what I said. The whole point of the original comment was that... it shouldn't be taboo to put something on TV when you would probably due the exact same thing in the same situation!
@dstebbin im the one who started "No, fucker. I'm well aware that wrestling is scripted.
But, why did the network get pissed at WWF for doing this, when it's totally something the network executives would do if someone was breaking into their own home!" thats what u wrote to me after i said u still think wrestling is legit lmao your really a fucking idiot
Technically, it was stupid for them to get mad about it. It was on late and the shows both before and after RAW had guns a'blazin...I think "Silk Stalkings" was on after RAW at the time, so that should say a lot. At the same time, I just don't think guns and wrestling mix. When you start pulling out guns, people start expecting you to use them. That's why I don't like this segment.
Really? Maybe I projected my opinion on to their beef. I thought it was the gun that pissed them off, too.
That makes it even stupider, actually, because they were cussing all over the place on Raw at the time. I supposed "fuck" is the magic word but...whatever. One of the few bad segments in an era that was full of classics.
@jackiedegracia ok i get that but this is a Live Show but the network reviews all taped shows before they go on the air any show even Seasame Street it doesnt matter you have to check that the show coincides with the program rating and topic and you cannot review something that hasnt happened yet thats why this is not a legendary promo and is just plain retarded by WWE and Vince McMahon and bad for business
@jaryd12345 Walton, Kentucky (where this was shot at) is located outside of Cincinnati, hence why Kevin Kelly in the beginning of the video said they were in "suburban Cincinnati". :)

@TASDisBACK For shit and gigles, who knows haha. They tend to change most older logos to the WWE logo instead.

One thing I don't understand, why did McMahon react so "OMG" ish when Pillman revealed his gun.
I mean, what do you fucking EXPECT to happen when a man is stalking you and trying to terrorize your family?
I honestly wish they'd use the gun more often in wrestling! I makes so much fucking SENSE!

@uguess94 That's just my point!
It shouldn't have been something you "don't run on live TV."
It's a completely relatable activity! The man was invading his home! What would fucking YOU do if someone was doing that?!
