  • English is my first language. Maybe it's the accent, but this man is speaking so quickly that I have difficulty understanding him. Do other people have difficulty understanding people who talk very quickly, or is it just me??

  • Why would it be a bad thing that certain constituencies argue for a lower cap? I mean if it leads to reduction in GHG, why does the intention of constituencies matter?

  • Look at this guy's lips. Someone please feed this guy before he shits in his pants.

  • You all heard that he likes the carbon tax, right (at least compared to cap and trade)? You see, educated conservatives like this guy can't allow themselves to pretend like we have unlimited fossil fuels. The rest of you people just don't want to believe that (1) we're destroying our environment and (2) we're becoming ever more dependent on the Middle East for our existence. If you hate reason (1), then at least recognize reason (2).

  • CO2 is a natural gas necessary for life on earth therefore stop calling it a pollutant

  • @IneedTodisco CO2 in a natural cycle isn't a pollutant. The additional CO2 that has been locked away in a hydrocarbon form and is reintroduced into the atmosphere is a pollutant. Semantics maybe, but it's true.

  • The Green Movements been infiltrated with profiteers,

Cap and Trade is yet another scheme meant to enrich a select few, Al Gore WAS well off, but today he's a multi-millionaire!

Get this, the average American household uses 10,656 kilowatt-hours a year, The Gore household sucks-up 221,000 or 20 times the national average,

    can you say "SUCKERS"

  • its the same godam thing

lies on lies dont make truths

  • For a great expose of the Cap & Trade, which Gore & his Goldman Sachs shysters are set up to cash in on

    Input youtube

"The Huge Mistake Climate Change Solutions 2009"

Help stop the Carbon tax fraud, call your Government Rep & say "NO" to Cap & Trade!

  • @Thisawareness

Cap and Trade legislation now known as the American Power Act, would have increased taxes on the average household between $1600-$3200. It would have increased gas prices up to $2.58 a gallon. With Obama demanding the cessation of offshore drilling gas prices are expected to increase yet another $5 a gallon, because we would grow dependent upon foreign nations we are not allies with in order to provide our oil. They would invariably price gouge to$10 a gallon gas!

  • @Twilightifyable Great post, check my page links friend, you'll like!

  • ...scientifical bullshit.

  • Americans must die....the fact is America is loaded with more dumb shits per capita than any other country in the world.

Name another Nation with such talent and resources that is so focused on the preservation of a Plutocratic System.

    Stupid Fucking Americans...

  • Obama is a socialist

  • Yah, if you believe in the one drop rule.

  • @1Conservador so what?

  • so what?

  • "Will it raise the price of goods and services? Yes, that's the point".

Why is that a good thing? What are they trying to do, reduce the US to a third-world nation? That's what we're becoming.

How is more expensive energy, goods and services a good thing? It will just make our standard of living lower, oh, but the earth will be pretty! That's a bunch of crap!

Check out NASA's latest findings on the solar cycle. Global Climate Change (caused by humans) is a hoax.

  • "How is more expensive energy, goods and services a good thing?"

It internalises the externality and does not cost anything on average(it's 100% dividend).

Stop whining, build less filthy coal plants and more nuclear plants.

  • Google "Enron cap and trade"

    Remember Enron America???

  • Fraud??? -Perfect for this Administration

  • I would like to declare June 27 as burn a tire day!

  • the sun is getting hotter. i guess the sun is being effected by global warming too... D: oh noes!

  • cause we'll be "such a better planet" when most of our country is unemployed and have no home to live in... Unemployment is at it's highest since the Great Depression, the currency value is falling, people are losing their homes as it is, and we are trillions in debt. Aside from the fraud of this and the notion of "taxing air", we simply cannot support this bill period.

It is not the job of Congress to "create jobs". Mercury and Venus are getting warmer and they have NO life form.

  • I have yet to see the g'ment bring rain in a drought, or stop the rain during a flood. But now we think the g'ment can not only control the weather but the climate of the entire planet!

This is just a huge tax to be paid by every man, woman and child in the US to force them to live according to the environmentalists views. It's unconstitutional and unAmerican.

How can you not see that?

  • We don't need ANY more taxes! Taxes are killing our companies and destroying our future! Cap and Trade "would be the equivalent of an atomic bomb directed at the U.S. economy, all without any scientific justification," says famed climatologist Dr. S. Fred Singer. It would significantly increase taxes and the cost of energy, forcing many companies to close, thus increasing unemployment, poverty and dependence. We don't need carbon tax either!

  • if you have a real renewable energy system it must have solar, wind, and Natural gas with some capacitance. This allows 24/7 power on demand, and not unstable solar and wind only. By having a tax on carbon you lower the introduction of this three in one technology and greatly SLOW the installation of solar and wind that runs when it can, and is backed up by gas. Once again, government does not see a viable solution and hinders progress. Wake up. Let those who know solve this problem...

  • fuck cap and trade and fuck carbon tax, how about that Kenneth Green? You fucking asshole.

  • jesus christ...this guy is an idiot

  • The bludy foucker didnt say a word about subsidies to free energy sources power plants.

  • If you put a price on carbon, then market mechanisms will take care of the rest. It's a genius free-market solution to the problem. Companies and individuals will be compelled to save energy, use energy more efficiently, innovate, etc.

  • Excellent video, thanks!

  • good job every buddie.

we got fat people like al gore telling us that we need to pay for air.

  • strong arguement for Carbon Tax, any ideas on which way this will go (i.e will go, not should go)? Was the SO2 scheme dropped because of volatility?

  • Humans keep on coming!! so what ever you enviro freaks don't seem to get, is it's not just carbon but everything material. You can Make a magic car that runs with no emissions soon every one in the world will have one . The catch is, we keep growing by 7% per year . Soon all you silly Earthlings will go the way of dino. And no Damn Politician is going to change it.

  • Actually recently predictions have stated that the world's population will start to peak at around 9 billion...

We have to live a more sustainable lifestyle. That wil not happen overnight but Mr Dion's Green Shift plan is certainly a great step forward.

  • Sadly, nature has it's own ways of maintaining population. we have so far been able to elude drought and famine due to increases in technology, but a large population is a breeding ground for pathogens. Eventually, we will outgrow this planet, unless the communists get their way and decrease the population. Also, humans do not cause global warming. Co2 does not increase temperature, temperature increases co2 concentration. There is no reason to reduce "green house" gases.

  • scam tax, its social engineering 101

  • maybe some people want to make our country more efficient, think about it when you turn on your lights in the middle of the day, do you really need to waste that energy. Did we forget what happen 1952 in london Dec 6-9 ? over 3000 people died because the coal mixed with fog and formed a chemical blanket over the city.

  • If we allow the crazies in the so-called environmental movement (it's a religion) to doom our economy we are gutless fools.

  • You are so right, But I would go one step further. These enviro- Nazi Commies are exactly that, their anticapitalist and don't like human progress or humans in general. Human created global warming is a lie and the biggest and best scam ever created.

  • Biggest scam ever created? Enviro nazi commies? That is the biggest oxy-moron I have ever seen...lol

A sensible carbon tax coupled with a Cap and Trade system is not anti-capitalist. In fact its quite the opposite. It allows market forces to control fate with a rule book in place (ie caps on emissions)

  • too late, the current US administration has already done this for you. The Green movement is the only hope the economy has!

  • It is patently obvious that you didn't listen to the man. He sounds like he knows what he's talking about, and he's definitely not smug or dismissive. He is, instead, thoughtful and well-spoken. Listen to his message rather than dissing something you clearly don't understand.

  • I did "listen to the man," and it was painful to do so. I didnt comment on the substance of his speech, which raises legitimate issues, but on his delivery, which undercuts any legitimacy he might have to pursuade others that a carbon tax is preferable over a cap-and-trade. Instead of delivering an objective speech on the pros and cons of a carbon tax, he just sounds like he's got an axe to grind. Fact of the matter is, the guy is a horrible speaker.

  • If it was painful for you to listen to this man I suggest you lack basic communication skills and the ability to understand the spoken word.
