  • What was that at 1:05? Sounded like a sneeze

  • Boring !!

  • Hey I have a GIO 500 Watt Ebike and the controller recently broke on it, I was just wondering what controller you are using and where I can order it. I'm from Ontario Canada and there isn't a bike shop to be found around here at all for this sort of thing... I also have two 500 W hub motors and I was wondering if it's possible to use one as the front wheel alternator to recharge the battery while the bike is in motion. Anyways, any help would be amazing, Thanks!

  • @MaximusHardness Well that sure is an interesting Idea (putting one motor on the front), but that wouldn't work, the tiny amount of charge you'd get wouldn't be worth the amount it drains from the battery by offering so much resistance :) All the best speed controllers can be bought online on a site called taobao, so just to go taobao dot com and well it's all in Chinese so I suggest using google translate, I'm using a pretty cool 800w controller, can't remember the brand, but I'll make a vid :)

  • @MaximusHardness call this guy705-674-2262 hes in sudbury he sell part for those china bikes,, might have those parts

  • What's your bike called? What company makes it? They seem to have more added features than the E-bikes we're currently getting in the west.

  • @zanydeath Well it's a generic body (there are sooo many brands) and a generic second generation 500w motor, I put in the new speed controller and new battery as well as all the turbo wiring etc.

  • is that 1 of the 1's of fun2ride.co.uk

  • can you tell me where you went to fix it????

  • @celebrityflorist Yeah sure, my friend's little bike shop in 水围村, they've moved now to opposite the 皇岗小学

  • Beer girl huh? She has no name? Just kidding.... Nice video.

  • @jollyjole2003 :) I'm big into nicknames

  • excellent!

  • The beer girl rulez :)

  • nice vid cool info

  • That electric scooter conversion is really slick. How does using the "turbo" impact the range of the scooter?

  • @TokyoPlumber well the "turbo" decreases the range.. but increases the fun :)

  • so.... will you sho us your seccond wife in this water city? ;-)

  • @warezvz Haha, I don't have a second wife :) Just the beer girl!

  • ok that was the formal answer that she can read. You also can send me the name in a pm so she cant see the name of the replacemant (hint hint hint)

    ROFL

  • Never seen these before . The turbo boost circuit is interesting . How long does it take to change 600 watt motor to 800 watt. ? Normally electric motor's are quick to change compared to a petrol engine :-) But would that be the case on these scooter's ?

  • @terence20001 Well, to be exact, there are 5 12v 16amp deep cycle batteries hooked up to the speed controller, the "turbo" introduces a sixth, I have two chargers, a 12v charger for the "turbo" battery, and a 60v charger for the main cell, it takes about 8 hours for a complete charge which will give me approximately 30kms range

  • Thank's . They sound ideal for traveling to work e.t.c.

  • Yeah, and in proper response to your comment (sorry misread it last night.. it was all the beer), it takes no time at all to change the motor over since it's just a hub motor (so basically it's as easy as changing the back wheel, just with some extra wiring to hook up).

  • Thank's for reply . Similar to changing ,say , a starter motor . That sound's like a job most scooter owner's may tackle themselves. Cheer's . Terry.

  • How much to buy electric bike like yours in dollars?

  • @frenchbullfrog well the going rate for one like this here is about 3k RMB which in USD is about 439.470 USD but I have added a few extras.. so actually it's probably a little more than that :P

  • Thanks mate, maybe travel to Shanghai in future I like your bike alot.

  • hey i've watched a lot of your vids i'm a new subscriber, was wondering how long have you studied chinese and would you consider yourself fluent?

  • @1210935395senmei Well, I basically studied on the street.. since I didn't have an option (no one speaks English here), I did do some studies to learn how to read and write, but the rest was just self leaned, I'd say I'm not fluent.. but capable, it'll take you a good few years to reach my level though, depending on how quickly you learn :) (actually if I'd actually taken a course I would probably have been a lot better by now :)

  • very nice, i myself have studied for about 4 months all on my own, and understand mostly everything you say, but when the locals reply to you i can't seem to understand, i've come to the conclusion that most people in china like to mumble lol. and with that being said about you studying on the street, may i ask what brought you to china in the first place?

  • Sure, yeah in Shenzhen there are people from all over China, it's a migrant city so only a small percentage of people are local, you get to understand all the different accents and dialects living here :) In answer to your question, I came here as a technical consultant for a client to check out some products he was importing, stayed here for 3 days, loved the place, went home, sold my cars etc and came over here to live.
