Despite the song's mediocre chart performance, it deserves immortality for a couple of reason, one of them being that it is only one of a handful of roller disco songs that is ACTUALLY about roller disco (or rollerskating)...I can only think of a few others: "Good Times" (Chic); "Roll, Bounce, Rock, Skate" (Vaughn Mason) and MAYBE "Suddenly" (ONJ/Cliff Richard). If you know of any others, please post them!

this was one of those disco/rock hybrid songs that came out in the late 70s, i remember those days well, i was in high school, that was an era that can never be duplicated, you had to live through it to fully understand its meaning and impact, im glad i did.

I wasn't born before the 70's. I can't stand most modern music. Gradually Disco has replaced my Classic Rock fasination. Disco, to me IS thought inspiring. Seriously. Almost all RAP, hip hop is s--t. This song is my heaven. 1979 was so awesome. According to government data, it was the peak of marijuana consumption in America. They must have had something right. Have Cher's two disco albums on Casablanca records been released digitally-remastered? I have the Casablanca Years CD that combines the two albums, but it was released in the mid-90s before albums were commonly remastered, and the sound quality isn't so hot.
