this is the perfect f1 track! i understand the money issue. but how can the immediate area support PGA majors and not support an f1 event. if f1 would have a round here i could die happy. by the way, why haven't i seen this car in at least 2 yrs.? brian's been driving the benneton lately. not that that's bad, but that ferrari v12 you CAN here anywhere and count corners till it gets to you.
I go to this event every year. To truly understand just how loud this car is, take the speakers from your PC, turn the volume WAYYYY up and place them right against your ears and play the vid. That will give you SOME idea of the rage this engine has. You can literally hear this car ANYWHERE on the track. Road America is HUMONGOUS by the way at over 4mi in length. And it's hilly.
this is where the next sequence of USGP's need to be held...theres no reason not to...id compare RA to imola...and its closer to my home than Indy, as well!!!
@pettersaethre it's true that the 2005 cars had the most power out of all the naturally aspirated engines (close to 1000 horsepower) and they were also the best sounding v10 engines, but the best sounding engines in the history of all car racing were on the 412t v12 ferrari cars raced in 1994 and 1995.
Woooooow! This is sick

Why are they building yet another gay Hermann Tilke track in Austin when there's Eckart Lake? And bring back V12s for fuck sake!

Front wing is from Alesi's ride (#27), but I see a rear #28 wing from Gerhard. Anyway, it's a F93 which is still great!!

I remember seeing him race that for years! Best sound is in turn 5 with the down shifts, then a great note under acceleration

love the back popping in the downshift while breaking :D

Why have the USGP at indy, why not here.
Possibly the USA's finest Road course?

I would venture to think that this would be a considerable venue for the next USGP's...if the USGP continues...

if they can't bring modern cars, maybe they can have a race using f1 cars from the 90's(they sounded better anyway)

@robertman0011the v10 from mid 2000 had the best sound imo, and the best performance...
